  • My review of 2005 4 Runner with the V8 - 2005 Toyota 4Runner

We really like this vehicle overall; just wish gas had not gone up like it did, for we had a 4 cylinder camry prior and it obviously got better mileage; still, on the open road, Ive seen the gas monitor go as high as 24 to 29 mpg when driven between 40 and 55mph. Id guess we were getting about 16 to 20 average though. The power this SUV has is very surprising. A friend of ours has a V6 version and I rode with him and during hard acceleration, I could only tell a little difference in the V6 and V8, so the V6 will serve you well also. Id highly recommend the 4Runner; I just wish I had the 4 wheel drive version for those rare times we get snow or ice in this part of NC.

after doing much research, I am happy to say that my 4 runner was a great choice. I am very very happy with the bluestone metallic color 4 runner that I have. The interior is beyond comfortable and the car drives great. You have to see it and feel it to believe it. The buttons and controls are great also. There is tons of room in the back cargo area.

  • My 2005 4Runner Review - 2005 Toyota 4Runner

I have always liked the 4 Runners,so I bought an 05 in January.I really like the look and feel. Has lots of interior room and features. It runs very well with lots of power. I have already had problems with mine though. My sun roof got a glitch in the computer which was easily repaired. At 1,000 miles the rear brakes started making a groaning sound. I had one rear rotor replaced because it was glazed at 1K miles. I have taken it to my dealer 4 times for the brake noise. The last time I was told that ALL the 05 4Runners make that sound and that pretty much I would just have to deal with. I called 2 other dealers to ask if they have had that problem, one said yes the other said no.

  • Its simply amazing - 2005 Toyota 4Runner

The Toyota 4Runner Sport Edition is simply an amazing vehicle. I have owned the car for just over six months now I could not have asked for anything more! It runs like a Lexus but has the price of Toyota. The interior is stunning with a slick exterior to make the vehicle aesthetically pleasing. The engine runs magnificently with good pickup and a smooth ride. Off the road the shocks are perfect! The ride is soft but you can still feel a little bit of vibration, a true sport vehicle. I have driven and owned many other SUVs in the past but this one is certainly at the top of the list. It is simply amazing!!

  • Great Ride - 2005 Toyota 4Runner

This vehicle is very nice, it handles well, drives smooth, has great power, and an awesome safety rating. It drives well around town and handles very well on the highway. Everything you can think of and more is designed into the interior, making the 4-Runner very user friendly. You can not find a better SUV for this price range.

  • Best Choice I have made in a vehicle! - 2005 Toyota 4Runner

I have been a pickup truck buyer for a long time (20 years or more) and I decided this time to look into an SUV for myself and I fell in love with the looks of the 4runner. I didnt know until after I test drove and then bought this SUV how much I was going to love it! The performance, feel, muscular stance and appearance and quality of build is impressive. I will definitely buy another one if I ever decide to trade this (dont know when that will happen!).

I have driven a lot of SUVs and this one definitely was the most fun and comfortable of them all. It is very quiet inside and feels solid. Not to mention that the V8 really gets up and goes.

Toyota is "updating" much of its model line this fall, including the 4Runner. I wanted to purchase the 05 before the end of the model year because of its excellent track record and high ratings. Im sure the 06 will be equally as successful, but theres a lot to be said for acquiring a "classic"! The Limited model is an impeccable amalgam of engineering, design, form and function. Its GX470 Lexus counterpart is a really a Limited 4Runner in disguise! My wife and I love the quiet ride, impeccable safety features and rugged capabilites of the 4Runner. Former owners of a Jeep Grand Cherokee, off-roading capabilities with street manners was a must. We highly recommend this vehicle!

  • A good decision - 2005 Toyota 4Runner

Picked up a 2005 4-runner V6 limited in March 05 and thus far am very satisfied. Exterior is visually pleasing as is the interior. Build quality seems exceptional. Controls are well placed and designed. Plenty of cup holders a plus. Drives well for a mid-sized SUV and in comparison to other similar SUVs, road manners are more refined. Actually feels like a tank on the road with regards to safety. Definitely very excited to get up in the morning and drive to work these days.

  • 4Runner Rocks!!! - 2005 Toyota 4Runner
    By -

I love this truck!!!! I did about two months of research and had a very difficult time deciding making a decision but the super quiet and comfortable ride, the reliability of Toyota, the general comfort, and the resale value of the 4Runner took it. I am in no way unhappy about my decision and if I had to do it over again after owning this one for three months now I would definitely do it again.
