Overview & Reviews
Suzuki expands the model line to include a front-wheel-drive sedan dubbed the SX4 Sport on the basis of its aero body kit and more firmly tuned suspension. Otherwise, the 2008 Suzuki SX4 sedan is equipped similarly to the all-wheel-drive SX4 hatchback introduced last year. The latter carries over unaltered, save for a taller 5th-gear ratio on its manual transmission and assorted packaging changes.

A car you dont see every day - 2008 Suzuki SX4
By gregg - January 22 - 7:00 pmOverall, a fine little car. Love the exterior styling, a real headturner. Interior design is very good, with high quality plastics. The car has great steering feel, and the 17 inch tires and wheels make it handle like a go-cart. The brakes will make it stop on a dime. Fuel economy is very good, could improve though. Suzuki needs a 5 speed auto in place of the 4 speed. Im surpassing the city estimates easily, but the highway number seems pretty accurate. Suzuki needs a bit stronger air-conditioner, it takes longer than I would like to cool down the inside on a hot day. Also, the stereo sounds great with CDs, but the radio needs stronger reception. Engine is almost as smooth as a honda 4.

GREAT LITTLE CAR - 2008 Suzuki SX4
By JLEEGOD - December 18 - 5:06 amI looked at the Mazda 3, the Toyota Corolla and the Nissan Sentry before I settled happily on the Suzuki SX4. This is a great car. I never understood it when people said a car can be "fun to drive" until now. The shifting is smooth and seamless, the car is very peppy and responsive and the acceleration leaves nothing to be desired. I enjoy getting in my car to go anywhere now. The quality of the car is great too. It feels solid and firm and is solid on the road. The cockpit is roomy and very comfortable. The stereo system and sound is just right. Everything just feels right with this car. The gas milage is very good. I do a lot of city driving and Im getting 28 mpg in the city.

Not for the long legged - 2008 Suzuki SX4
By Disappointed in PA - November 18 - 6:13 amI bought this car for $18,900 including tax, title, and license which is too much money for this car. The AWD is great. Have had it to the dealer twice to replace the display consol (clock, temp etc). Cruise control doesnt hold your speed very well. I drive 55 miles daily to work so I have to get gas every three or four days. Very disappointing gas mileage for a 4 cylinder. Its only getting maybe 22 mpg at the most and the tank only holds 10 gallons of gas. Im 6 4" and this car has great headroom but practically no leg room. Back seats dont fold real well. Overall a good car but it needs a few more years of improvements to be a great car. Dont recommend it to guys with long legs.

Excellent small car - 2008 Suzuki SX4
By Ron - October 8 - 3:13 pmVery nice car to drive, has lots of features for the price. More power and torque than some of the other brands, Seems roomy to me as far as the interior goes, decent stereo system, easy to get in and out doors, This is my third Suzuki from the same dealership. I traded in a fuel hungry Truck for this car, Ive gotten up to 34 MPG on the freeway but mostly avg 30 MPG combo driving. Really great visibility windows.

My microSUV - 2008 Suzuki SX4
By cd-IL - July 14 - 8:20 amThis is a good all-weather hatchback car that wouldnt break your bank. It is the same car platform used in World Racing Championship series (w/ exception of turbo engine and vented hood) that had placed 7th at its initial entry. This is fun to drive and suspension is great for a small car and very stable when driven at high speed. I got 23 mpg of mixed driving which is not bad for an AWD car. My wife and I use this as our daily runabout car that is safe to drive through the worst winter conditions in Chicago. This little bug can trek on 5-in snow while most comparable priced sedans spins on the road. The all-weather capability and safety features had the most weight in our decision to buy.

Fabulous! - 2008 Suzuki SX4
By mossj13 - June 21 - 3:33 amI have had this vehicle for about a month now and cant find a single thing wrong yet. I have it in orange which is a spectacular color. I dont know why people complain about the fuel it just have a small tank costs me less then $40 to fill up who can ask for anything more! The hatchback is perfect for everything I put in. The fold up seats expand the trunk to immense amounts. This car is fabulous perfect, and it fits me like a glove. Might not be for you but it was for me!

I must disagree - I love this car - 2008 Suzuki SX4
By Indiana Gal - May 25 - 4:30 amI have to reply to a couple of earlier posts. I get from 26.5 to 29 mpg on my daily driving (40 miles round trip) so I was surprised about the rating. Also Im still driving on the first set of tires at 17,500 miles. I read a review that listed 3 sets of tires in the first 20,000 miles. It does seem to have blind spots when trying to back up, but overall it is easy to drive and easy to park. It has a huge trunk, large enough for luggage for 4 on a 5 day trip. I bought this used with 7,000 miles and now over 17,000 and have not had any repairs at all.

17 Inch tires are really bad - 2008 Suzuki SX4
By Stacey - April 14 - 1:43 amI love driving my car, however I have put on 17,000 miles and I am getting ready to put on the 3rd set of tires. Dealership says these cars eat tires and I agree! At $200.00 a pop for 205/50R17 they are expensive!

Great Car for a Great Price w/ toys - 2008 Suzuki SX4
By Shelltop - March 30 - 9:43 pmI stumbled upon this car after looking at Hondas and Corollas with higher price tags but bare bone. I have been pleasantly surprised I got this car for $11k.. power windows, radio, large "roomy" interior feel. Im happy with the purchase. The extra window front panel was weird initially but I see more copycats out there. I recommend taking a look at this brand.

A great AWD car - 2008 Suzuki SX4
By noynoyjohn - March 20 - 6:10 pmThis is a great car-nimble and fun to drive. Have it for 3 months and so far I have encountered no problems. I really like its keyless feature-you dont need to insert key to start the engine (like an expenssive car). Its highly recomended.
