Overview & Reviews
The 2000 Limited Edition Grand Vitara comes with leather seats, privacy glass, foglamps, a hard spare tire cover, an armrest, gold emblems and a special black-and-white paint scheme. The spare tire cover on regular Grand Vitaras features a new design. The '99 model's base trim levels JS and JS+ have been renamed JLS and JLS+. A CD changer is standard equipment on JLS+ and JLX+ models.
- Standard V6, distinctive looks, low-range transfer case on 4x4 models.
- Harsh suspension, unimpressive brakes, lack of cargo space.

Its hot in here - 2000 Suzuki Grand Vitara
By BadSuzuki - January 26 - 10:00 amThis has been a good little vehicle for the most part. A couple of on-going problems problems have caused a lot of frustration and prevented it from being a great vehicle. The air conditioning never worked right from the day it was new. It has been to 2 different dealers a total of 11 times and still is not working. The body cladding kept coming loose until I finally glued it back on with industrial epoxy. Dealer service is pathetic. Both dealers in my area have dropped their Suzuki fanchise. I would never by another one.

Lemon - 2000 Suzuki Grand Vitara
By cherylkf - May 7 - 10:00 amHas 40K miles...Has gone through 2 sets of tires, leaks transmission fluid, burns oil, gets far worse gas mileage than manufacture indicates. Very disppointing overall.

Disappointed - 2000 Suzuki Grand Vitara
By LEMON - March 18 - 3:20 pmI have had this vehicle for two years. I have experienced numerous and costly repairs for leaking seals, transmission oil leaks and A/C problems. This truck has been a Lemon with a capital "L". I would NEVER buy one of these again. My extended warranty has not covered any of the repairs and service has been SLLLLOOOWW getting vehicle back to us.

Corporation Lemon - 2000 Suzuki Grand Vitara
By paragon - October 21 - 2:16 amI love my vehicle NOW! (after a new motor and many other trips to the dealership.) Dealership couldnt find the problem when the CHECK ENGINE light began coming on at 20K miles. In a years time, I had possession of the SUV only about 3 months. The rest of the time was spent in the shop. NO KIDDING! District and regional even was sent to work on it. To no avail. Corporation then decided to replace vehicle as a lemon; didnt happen. Then buy back vehicle, didnt happen. Then give me money for trade, didnt happen. Then finally told me "tough luck."
