Its a good around town vehicle for 4 adults, but for long trips. it does not have that much back room to carry a big load; its smaller than my old, old toyota corona. On a 4000k trip to California and back to Missouri I only average 25 mpg, which is bad for that small of a car; mileage was the main reason that I bought it. I think I would have done better with a bigger car or a wagon.

In the 3 years since I have bought this car I have had the front headlights fail, the battery die, the tread come off the two front tires, the oxygen sensor replaced and now Im dealing with a blown head gasket which blasted a hole in the cylinder head compromising the coolant system. By far the worst car I have ever owned.

Nice comfortable ride, okay acceleration, great exterior and interior styling, cant beat the 17,500 msrp for all the options you get.

  • Nice Little Wagon - 2005 Suzuki Forenza

Nice practical wagon. I average about 25 MPG with the automatic, better on highway trips. Great interior. I love the styling. Engine a little noisy on hard acceleration, but quiet at speed. The 2.0 Holden (Australian GM made) engine has a good long record for reliability in Europe, where it is used a lot. The ZF (German designed) auto transmission had a couple of minor quirks, but was fixed with a recent program update. It now is buttery smooth. Great sound system. It has started and run flawlessly. No squeaks or rattles. Handling is competent, but not sporty. Ride is quite good for a small car. Seems sturdy. (It weighs almost 3000 lbs.)

I have put 2,000 miles on my Suzuki Forenza LX wagon. Just like others have said, the fuel economy is terrible on this car. I have gotten less than 15 mpg in the city and 27 mpg in highwaydriving. Also, the steering wheel is always vibrating when it starts to take off. I like its design though, pretty much looks like a Jetta wagon. I would hope these are all the problems I have for the next few years.

  • Surprised by Suzuki - 2005 Suzuki Forenza

Being in a labor Union (local 1175 baby!) comes with it an unspoken rule to buy american. I went to dodge, ford, and chevy looking for a compact car to fit my needs (being 21, my dream vette is still a bit out of my league). After thorough review, I ended up in a suzuki dealership. The warranty alone justified me buying brand new (upgraded to 7/100k bumper2bumper) but the car itself was full of options! I couldnt make myself go back to the other dealerships and pay more for less!

  • Great Car for the Price - 2005 Suzuki Forenza

The 2005 Suzuki Forenza is well made and fun to drive. It is a surprisingly nice vehicle for the price. It comes standard with many options that are cost extra on many other cars, cush as power windows and door locks. I have owned a number of Hondas and this car is right up there with the Civic.

I just bough the Forenza S, and I love it. I traded a Daewoo Lanos for it, and it is a huge improvement. I love the way that it handles, the room, comfortable seats, and the whole interrior design. The trunk space is great too. If you are looking for a car with basic style plus a little more with a great warranty, I would strongly recomend this little family car.

What a deal. To get a beautiful car that is comfortable, fully equipped, and convenient, not to mention the fantastic gas mileage that it gets. I will never buy another American made auto. I got a100,000 mile warranty, which is unheard of in the American car market and the equivalant American car was $10,000 more expensive.

  • Worst Car Experience - 2005 Suzuki Forenza
    By -

This car has many electrical, and powertrain problems that may not be detected until after the standard and powertrain warranty. There are so many complaints floating around that raises questions about Suzuki Autos quality control. Not every vehicle is free of problems, but this is ridiculous. My advice, avoid the Forenza at all costs. The 2005 Forenza Wagon and other problematic models should be put out of their misery. Save your money, do your research, and invest in a more reliable auto. Dont even get me started on trying to get repairs done on this. This by far is the worst car experience Ive ever had. :(
