  2nd Subaru and Better Than the First - 2018 Subaru Crosstrek

  My wife loves her Subrau Baja and swore she would never part with it. Two grand kids later we needed something with more room. She test drove the Outback and decided it was just too big for her and she couldnt get excited about it. The Foresters driver seat just didnt fit her comfortably. The 2018 Crosstrek has proven just right. She loves the comfort, handling, quiet cabin, adaptive headlights, Eyesight safety systems and the bright Sunshine Orange exterior and gray interior with orange contrast stitching. When I told her she needed to drive the Baja so I could wash her Crosstrek she gave me a dirty look. I guess you could say she is very happy with her Crosstrek (Crusher). Im very impressed with the performance and mileage (even during break in). The Crosstrek is averaging 33 MPG on the second tank of gas. Motortrend just did a comparison of the Crosstrek against a Nissan and Jeep and confirmed the Crosstrek is no slouch. It had the fastest acceleration to 60 MPH. I know the Crosstrek is quicker than our Subaru Baja with its 2.5L engine. The Crosstrek gives us about 5 inches more legroom in the backseat over the Baja without sacrificing legroom in the front. The only con is limited storage behind the backseat. With 2 car seats in place you are limited to 20.8 Cubic feet of storage. We just put snow tires on Crusher for the winter. The Baja was exceptionally secure with snow tires during winter driving. My wife is hoping the Crosstrek does just as well. No car is perfect yet the Crosstrek does so many things well it will be hard to find anything in its price range that delivers a better total package.

  Phone volume - 2018 Subaru Crosstrek

  All the new models car play have a problem with the incoming phone volume. It will not hold your settings I put it all the way down to zero and when a call comes in it sersnit back to 10 and its so Loud I have a heart attack nearly driving. This has got to be fixed. Every time I get in my car I have to fix the volume setting to zero. It will not hold your settings. This is SO ANNOYING. They are suppose to be trying to fix the problem and then correct mine. I was told it is in every Crosstrek 2018 models the new car play. I cannot believe something so simple and they did not catch the problem before selling these cars. Other than that I love the car I get 37 MPG !!!

  Great subcompact SUV - 2018 Subaru Crosstrek

  Just picked up the 2018 Subaru Crosstrek with power moonroof and Eyesight for my wife. We also have a 2016 Forester XT and love that vehicle so we knew how great Subaru is for our region here in the Northwest. This is a fantastic smaller crossover and since we don’t have kids, it’s plenty roomy. Adding some cross bars and kayak racks and tinting the windows, what a cool ride! Dig the Apple Car Play too!

  Wow - 2018 Subaru Crosstrek

  Weve had our 2018 Crosstrek Limited for about two weeks, we love it! Traded in a 2015 truck to downsize a bit but didnt want to lose the outdoor adventure options that trucks provide. I can already tell we made an excellent choice. It was surprisingly hard to find an available 18 Crosstrek in any trim level in the PHX area that either wasnt reserved or already purchased. Also wasnt intending on a fully loaded Limited, but this was what came up so....oh well, guess were getting a Limited! I had a completely trashed old Subaru in college with at least 200,000 miles on it, rusted floor and body falling apart, but that thing started up every morning and drove strong for the whole time I had it. Drove it to the junkyard after graduation, still running strong. Always impressed with that little car, this Crosstrek is lightyears beyond and I have no doubt it will drive for a very long time. Excellent design, love the refreshened interior and gauges, seats are wonderful, back seat seems roomy and comfy. Eyesight and all the driver support systems are so well thought out and better than some of my colleagues vehicles that cost twice as much. Harmon Kardon sound system is superb, a/c system works fantastic. Drives very easy, quiet and smooth. Doors open wide, back storage very adequate, the back hatch area floor is a bit shallower than I expected, but not a detriment. It might seem that way because of the 8+ inches of ground clearance, it puts the back bumper higher than other brands, not a problem though. Back seats fold almost flat. Interior fit and finish is very strong, way better than other brands with similar models. The first 2 tanks of gas were averaging 30.5 mpg with mixed driving, loving that! Our truck was lucky to average 19. If I had to gripe about anything so far is getting used to the a/c and app controls and all of the menu options, but that is hardly a complaint. The Bluetooth seems to work well, Apple CarPlay is pretty good, it seems like the music pauses for a split second every once in awhile, maybe my USB cord is getting old, or a CarPlay software update in the future might solve that. Overall so very happy with the Crosstrek. We are leasing but I wouldnt hesitate to purchase this at lease end if it continues to impress, residual value on the Crosstrek is higher than any comparable Toyota and Honda. Count us as huge Subaru fans

  Absolutely Impressed - 2018 Subaru Crosstrek

  Ive test-driven 15 vehicles over the last 8 months, needing something mainly for commuting into the city and ability to take my wife and daughter, or a friend and two bags of golf clubs. I live in Minnesota so AWD was important, but since its just me most of the time I wanted something sporty with great technology, stereo, and every safety feature possible as I tend to keep my vehicles a long time. The reviews mentioning the small engine scared me away at first, but after owning it for three weeks I have yet to feel like I need more power. The Harman Kardon stereo is excellent, the technology is intuitive with a very crisp display, and driving the vehicle is just plain fun. We got the fully loaded Limited trim and glad we did. I test-drove the Alltrack, Mazda CX-5, even some AWD Infinitis, Audis, Volvos and I feel like I got virtually everything I wanted in the Crosstrek that would have cost another $15-$20k in one of the luxury brands we were considering. Great vehicle, great buying experience, and already very attached to my Crosstrek!

  Happy with my 2018 Crosstrek - 2018 Subaru Crosstrek

  Though I was happy with my 2006 Subaru Outback, I didnt want to buy another one for a couple of reasons. One was cost and the other was that I thought the newer models were getting too big for me. I began researching the other Subaru models and I came across the 2018 Crosstrek. It looked like it ticked all my boxes, and its weaknesses werent ones that would bother me much. However, I knew I had look at it in person and test drive it to make sure I could live with a step down from my previous model. I was relieved and surprised to see that the actual car met my needs even better than it had on paper. Ive had my Crosstrek for a month, and I love all the new features and the comfort it provides me. So far, Im very pleased with the car and I think I made a good choice.

  Really Like But... - 2018 Subaru Crosstrek

  Only had this car a week but its fun to drive and stylish with a nice tight ride and fun exterior color (khaki gray). I went for the more expensive Limited edition to get leather and some other upgrades but was really disappointed it lacked both memory seating for multiple rivers or a rear gate button on either the remote or the car. Even though the entertainment system is easy to use other information setups are not user friendly. The settings menu is overly complicated with too many buttons to push and the Sabaru manual is the worst Ive even encountered. I had to go on U Tube to figure out something as simple as changing the time on the clock.

  I am a swap driver for Hyundai and Nissan. Although they both make a great product, they can not compare to the crosstrek in mpg and AWD system.

  2018 Subaru Crosstrek Premium w/CVT - 2018 Subaru Crosstrek

  This 2018 Crosstrek is a GREAT CAR, it rides and handles great especially on curvy roads like mountains due to its STANDARD AWD. Fuel economy is really really GREAT, went to Lake Arrowhead and got an average of 30 MPG. Also all the safety features, we purchased our with the Eyesight feature and works great when combined with the cruise control. So far our car has performed great and given us great fuel economy and not to mention the overall safety of 5 stars. Would greatly recommend anyone to test drive the 2018 Crosstrek if your looking for a Crossover/SUV of that size, Im 60" tall and there is plenty of leg/knee room in the rear seats when I sit in the rear and thats leaving the front drivers seat at my position of driving.
