  • Not Just For Teenagers - 2006 Scion TC
    By -

I have read all the reviews about this being a great car for teenagers, but Im in my late 40s, and I love it, too! Roomy, dependable, FUN to drive (we old-timers like to have fun rides, too, you know!). Great interior design, especially the radio cover and SSP choices for audio. Lots of room in back for teenage kids + gear, and very comfortable for them with the reclining rear seats. Plenty of storage space, especially with the rear seats folded, and more than any other vehicle Ive ever owned with the front passenger seat folded. I went looking for a cheap, high gas mileage, family car, and feel like I have a luxury car!

  • Not Feeling My tC - 2006 Scion TC
    By -

I have had this car from 77 miles to 57000 miles and I have been trying to get rid of it since 5000 miles. I must admit the car is fun to drive at times but compared to 75% of the other cars on the road its not much power under the hood. The only time I feel like its fast is when I am the only car on the road. The gas mileage stinks, I get 265 out of a full tank and the dealership tells me its because of "winter" gas in the winter and "summer" gas in the summer. The worst part is that loud whistling from the sunroof that toyota refuses to look at unless I pay them. Its time for me to move on.

  • Best in Small Car Its Class - 2006 Scion TC
    By -

Before I bought the \tC I researched and test drove the Civic, RSX, and Eclipse. The tC offers the most interior room and most back seat comfort by far. It doesn’t handle at all like a sports car, but the ride is smooth, its acceleration is peppy and its handling is accurate. I bought the iPod compatible radio which is fun, but the sound quality is greatly lacking. The seats are very comfortable for a small person and so far it has handled quite nicely in the snow!

  • Nice Car - 2006 Scion TC

Ive had this car for a year. Done about 13,000 miles on it. I enjoy driving it daily. I love the sunroof and the moonroof and the alloy wheels. The car looks great..

the 2006 Scion tC has excellent handling, performance, and styling. I hadnt driven a stick shift for more than 25 years...so I was a little apprehensive about not getting the automatic. I am glad I did now...it is very quick and smooth now that I am back in the groove. I love the tried and true 4-cyl. engine. I have no mechanical complaints so far. I am getting 25.5 MPG with 90% city driving.

  • Mixed feelings on my tC - 2006 Scion TC
    By -

I purchased my Scion tC to replace my 98 Nissan 200sx-ser which was a fabulous car. I love the exterior styling, handling, comfort, and overall feel of the car. My biggest dissapointment is in the build quality. Ive owned many Japanese cars over the years from Honda, Mazda, and Nissan without any problems; this is my first new Toyota purchase and I fully expected legendary Toyota quality on this car. I havent gotten it. The paint is very delicate, scratching very easily. Interior quality is fair at best, my drivers seat is showing a lot of wear, and the interior panels get scratched very easily. Im not rough on cars at all and this one is holding up badly at only 18 months old.

  • My first purchase - 2006 Scion TC

Ive driven a 98 Corolla for the past 7 years and the occasional Camry drive, so it was difficult to push me out of the Toyota family. When I went to buy a new car I narrowed it down to the under $22,000 range because I didnt want to spend THAT MUCH on a car, though I probably can easily. I ended up test driving the 06 Impreza, and this car and it was quite easy. The Civic was another option and a relative had recently bought one so I got to play with that a bit. But it was really easy to decide. The tC has way more features, the looks, and the Toyota Camry reliability in it for the same price.

It is not a great car, just a car. The Scion tC is a good entry level car and but I do not think that it will hold its value when I go to sell it. I am just waiting to make more money to buy a nicer car.

  • Amazing! - 2006 Scion TC
    By -

The 2006 Scion tC, simply put, is one of the best deals by far! Its standard features, being too many to elaborate, cater to everyones needs. Talk about a bargain, this car is more affordable than most others with half the features. For people like me - who love customizing their cars, prepare to be in a state of bliss! Thanks to their "Plug and Play" design, installing most of their accessories (LED lights, fog lights, etc) takes a fraction of the time it would on most other cars. Finally to top it off, its backed by Toyotas stellar quality and reliability! To summarize in one word - Amazing!

  • Worth every penny - 2006 Scion TC
    By -

Racked up 112,000 mile on my 06 tC, and never had 1 mechanical issue with it! I replaced the clutch after 80,000 miles, and thats it. Truth be told, this is a fun little car to drive and I beat on mine quite a bit. The reason for my review is, I was weary about Scion, because they were new. I bought it because its a Toyota. Since they had done away with their sporty cars, I took my chances on this. Im so glad I did. It was maintained with proper flushes, oil changes, tires and brakes, and never had gave me any mechanical issues.
