  • Scion BabyBoomer!! - 2005 Scion TC

This car was marketed for the young kids but Im a babyboomer who was getting frustrated finding a hot coupe for under 20K. Then my son told me a 5 letter word.."SCION" and my prayers were answered. The interior cabin is so comfortable it belies its sport coupe look. Good power combined with an easy to use manual transmission with a short throw makes driving FUN!!! And with lots of experience with a stick you can leave the "youngsters" in your dust!! After more than 5 mts, I still enjoy all the comments about how hot my black cherry pearl Scion is. So all you babyboomers out there who are saving for retirement but still want a fun car to drive, try SCION tC & you wont be disappointed!

I love this car! Its awesome engine is perfect with the 6 speed manual trans and gives pretty good acceleration and handling. I put on a superchip and the borla cat back exaust, which sounds perfect.

I narrowed down to Base RSX(no leather and 5sp) and TC(5sp). I have hard time to chose which car is more fun. I hold back the tC due to resale value of car because of low version of Toyota. Is there anyone give me some comparision between them beside the number on specification?

  • Impressed by the Value - 2005 Scion TC

I was introduced to the Scion tC while shopping for a new Toyota. At first I wasnt interested in the tC having never heard of the car, but all that changed after I test drove one. The performance was very impressive. It accelerated and handled more like an expensive sports car than like an inexpensive sports coup. The exterior styling impressed me as well. It is clean and subtle with an elegant front end. Following my test drive I was introduced to a very long and impressive list of features that came standard with the $16,500 base price. I added a few additional accessories and purchased a car that I believe to be the best value in a small car in todays market.

  • These are going to sell. - 2005 Scion TC

Ive had my TC for a little over 3 months and Im very happy with it so far. Very fun to drive, nice acceleration and good handling. For the price there is not a better all around car out there. Gas milage is reasonable depending on your driving style, Im avging 26mpg. Not having to pay for premium helps balance that. I have read some complaints about highway noise but I think the TC is queiter than my 96 Accord EX was. Im very happy with the build quality. Back seats actually fit adults comfortably. Warning this car wants to run on the highway. at 80mph rpms are around 4K so it might benefit from a higher final drive ratio. Overall I am very happy with my purchase.

I researched this car and others like it for atleast 3 months before i went to the dealership to actually test drive the tc. After researching i search around dealership until i found one similiar to what i wanted to purchase, which was a manual transmission; once i found one, i took a test drive and fell in love.

  • Great, Except for Minor Things - 2005 Scion TC

We were the first Scion tC owners in our area, buying the first one to hit the local dealership. Our tC now has 45,000 miles on it with no engine problems. It has been a blast to drive. There is plenty of room in front, and the engine is peppy, though a turbo would be extra cool. I drive through a tight hair-pin down-hill grade every morning to work. I have noticed that the tC handles nicely and I frequently pass more expensive sports cars with ease. Id say the tC is a great deal for the money. Our only complaint is the paint does not hold up at all! There are chips and door-dings everywhere. The front bumper and head light domes are riddled with a permanent sandblast from driving in the desert.

  • A beautiful vehicle. - 2005 Scion TC

I am a nut for nice looking clean cars. I have never been asked so many times what kind of car I am driving and how beautiful it is. My tCs perfprmance is excellent. It has lots of room inside (I am 6 foot 4 inches). I think it is a great car for the money.
