  • Pros far outweigh the cons - 2005 Scion TC

Bought mine as a demo with 2900 miles on it, and well be celebrating our 7 year anniversary in February. Ive put 155k (not easy miles either - I beat on my cars pretty soundly) and I have to say it has withstood everything I put it through with class and style. Its like the little Scion that could. Most problems have been wear and tear, otherwise VERY minimal maintenance and still runs like a top. Overall a solid investment, fun to tune (have TRD exhaust, K&N Typhoon intake, B&M short throw), easy to work on/troubleshoot, respectably quick. I bought a 350Z this past February and kept the tC for winter and shopping trips - shes still got a lot of life left in her :)

i love this car... and how can you go wrong with a toyota. i have been waiting to get this car for a while and i love that i am one of the few owners that i know who own a scion. everyone asks, what kind of car is that.? and i tell them and they have never heard of it.. i like being different and having a car that i never see on the road. i love the whole line up of scions, but the tc is the best looking of the three. i would reccomend to any one to test drive this car and they are gauranteed to love it. its very smooth and quick.. toyota has done it again..and you cant beat the price unless you drive a kia... no thanks. i love my scion tc and i will stick with toyota forever.

  • Amazing !! - 2005 Scion TC

This is my first brand new car and it is awesome. The standard features are not what most companies would consider standrad. As Ive driven my car Ive noticed all the little things that make this car so cool. All you need to do is shift into a different gear, step on the gas, and you will know that this car has power! I couldnt be happier. And the "pure pricing" that Scion uses makes getting your Scion they way you want it very easy.

  • If Youre thinking of Buying...Buy NEW! - 2005 Scion TC

I bought my tC about a week ago. When I went out on the lot I didnt even give the car a second look because it looked too expensive for my budget, but when the representative told me he thought he could get me in it, I was amazed. However, the next day I realized how dumb I was, we bought the car with 14,000 miles on it, and we could have gotten a brand new one for close to the same price. So, basically, if youre looking to buy one, buy it brand new, order it off the computer yourself so that you get the options you want.

  • Good car, but be careful... - 2005 Scion TC
    By -

While reading over the reviews of the `05 tC posted here, I agreed with everyones comments but just wanted to inform all owners to be careful of a little problem. Up until a couple months ago I loved everything about my tC, but beware the wind deflector on the sunroof. As you all likely know, there was recently a recall for these requiring a laminate be installed. My warning: This laminate doesnt do its job. My fiancee and I were recently on vacation when the deflector decided to shatter out of nowhere, while driving, sending loose pieces of glass into the car, hitting myself in the arm and even scratching my fiances sunglasses (I had the laminate prior to this). Just wanted to warn everyone.

  • Amazing Car - 2005 Scion TC

By far the best car in its class. When combined with the manual transmission the car feels a lot more exciting. Youll find it hard to believe you payed less than 20 grand.

  • Value, value, value... - 2005 Scion TC

I only have 1200 miles on it, but so far the TC has gone beyond my expectations. The handling is fantastic. I commute through steep curvy hills everyday. The ride is sporty, but still smooth enough for comfort. There is plenty of power to take the hills and the N. California freeways with ease. The car is an extreme value. The accessories can bring the value of the purchase down a bit. Buy the add-ons that you can install yourself later online and save money. The no haggle pricing made the purchase experience stress free. Ordering exactly what I wanted was fantastic, took 2 weeks. The TC is in high demand right now though. Choice of transmission, color and side air bags may take 6.

  • Tall driver is very pleased - 2005 Scion TC
    By -

I have nothing but good things to say about my Scion tC ownership experience, even though the CNN review said that tall drivers would be cramped, I heartily disagree, I am 65 and 200 lbs. and I am completely comfortable thanks to the ease of adjustment of the seat. It handles like a dream and even coped with the large amount of snow we had last winter very well, thanks to the front wheel drive I was able to move about even in icy conditions. The stock stereo system is quite nice and the upgrade im sure is better. The air conditioning and recirculating feature is very effective in keeping the car cool and smelling nicely, Ive had it for a little over a year now and it still smells new.
