This Year's Model Updates:

Borrowing components from GM's European Opel division, the Saturn Vue is completely redesigned for 2008. Highlights include a much-improved cabin, an available 257-horsepower V6 and improved handling and ride dynamics.

Pros:
  • Powerful V6 in XR and Red Line trims, handsome interior and exterior European styling, ideal handling and ride balance, plenty of standard safety features.
Cons:
  • Less cargo capacity than most rivals, front seats not ideal for some larger folks.

  • I love this car...Period! - 2008 Saturn VUE

I drove my last truck until it died. When I had to get a new one, I knew I needed an SUV despite high gas prices, because where I live, we get a lot of snow. I bought the AWD Vue, and while I saw on the sticker that I could get about 24 MPG, I was still excited because my old vehicle got more like 8. Im not a professional hyper-miler by any means, but I am able to coax out 30 MPG on my daily drive to work and back. Add in the very nice design, the awesome feel and power of the vehicle, and Im getting far more car for my money than I expected when I bought a Saturn. Their "Rethink" campaign is fitting, because I have "Rethought" my previous view. I love the view from my Vue!

  • LOVE MY VUE!! - 2008 Saturn VUE

I have had my 2008 Saturn VUE XR Front wheel drive since June 2008, and LOVE it! I have a little over 10,000 miles on it. My Mom just purchased a 2009 VUE XR FWD, replacing a 1996 Ford Taurus wagon. I hope that the Saturn brand keeps going. By the way, this is my 2nd Saturn...I had a 1994 Saturn SL2.

  • My first GMC product is a hoot to drive - 2008 Saturn VUE

Last new car was my wifes 2005 Honda Odyssey Touring which is still a great vehicle for its age. For a second vehicle we wanted a more compact yet versatile suv and first considered the new Honda CRV, then others before coming accross the new Saturn VUE. Never buying a GMC product before I wasnt expecting too much when we took a new V6 fwd for a demo. Its handling and ride on both local and interstate roads was so impressive especially for such a small suv I immediately began seriously considering it. I looked at several in stock and all of their fit and finishes were flawless, their safety features were state of the art and their styling was very appealing. Still happy after four months

  • A wonderful surprise. - 2008 Saturn VUE

We had originally test drove the Vue to eliminate it from our list of vehicle options, just so we could say that we had actually looked at all of our options within the price range we set for ourselves. But instead of eliminating it, it moved to the top of the list. Of the vehicles that we looked at, the Vue Red Line was the only one that we walked away from the test drive with that "gotta have it" feeling. It had all the power we wanted, looked great, a smooth quiet ride, and it drove like it was on rails. If you are looking for a sporty compact SUV, dont dismiss the Vue Red Line until you have actually driven it.

  • Very car like SUV - 2008 Saturn VUE

After two Audis, I thought this may be a big step down, but after a couple of months I am very impressed with this vehicle. Very refined ride, great passing speeds.

  • Enjoy the Vue - 2008 Saturn VUE

My Vue handles great, especially in the snow. It has ample power, but I do wish there was some way to have that power and get decent gas mileage at the same time. The interior is quiet and comfortable, although on longer rides the seat hurts the backs of my legs. Cargo space is impressive for a small SUV - has more room than my husbands BMW X3. I do wish I had a sun roof.

  • Love at First Sight! - 2008 Saturn VUE

I decided to test drive the 2008 VUE based on the rave reports Id seen from European automotive writers (GM introduced the car there as the Opel Antara in 2006). I instantly fell in love & bought one although I plan to trade it for the 2010 Plug-in VUE with an EV range almost equal to that of the 2010 Chevy Volt. Im not an impulse buyer, so I did extensive research after my test drive. Bottom line: IMO the 08 Vue is the best suv on the world market for the money. Only BMWs X5 (nearly the same size/shape) is equal at 2-3X the price!

Purchased this auto late 2007 in hopes to help GM. Found out that our Vue was actually made South of the boarder. Had hopes that listed MPG of 22 was not correct, it was. Now Saturn is belly up and I own something which I should not of purchase, should have bought a Ford.

The Saturn Vue is on the comfortably small side. It is very quiet, smooth riding and sure footed. I would recommend that if you live in hilly country, move up to the V6 with the 6 speed automatic. Gas mileage has been between 24 and 25 miles per gallon mixed driving with the 4 cylinder, 4 speed auto. The only thing I would add would be a temperature gauge
