Awesome Car! - 2001 Porsche 911
By SJ Sims - March 24 - 11:03 amVery reliable. Still turns heads. While suffers, as most do, from the rear main seal leak, its a warranty item, so no big deal. If I could only own one of my cars, this would be the one Id keep.

Just a solid sportscar - 2001 Porsche 911
By Porsche Love - January 16 - 11:50 amTruly a wonderful daily driver, though we dont put more than 4,000 average miles per year. Keep it on Porsche battery tender and battery stays fresh between weekend drives. Absolute symphony to the ears every time you open her up. Great exhaust notes and engine revs that make you say, "More please!". Great handling, classic style, and heritage galore all wrapped up in a pretty Arctic Silver Metallic package!

Its a Porsche.....what more to say??? - 2001 Porsche 911
By kapmot - October 30 - 10:00 amOwing a Porsche is not a rational exercise.....it is completely emotional. Anyone who has ever dreamed of driving this wonderful piece of Teutonic engineering will not be disappointed. Yeah it costs a lot of money, but it is absolutely worth it.

Porsche pride - 2001 Porsche 911
By RYANDOUGLAS.CA - September 20 - 9:10 amFew products will ever be as iconic as this car. Nothing else is a 911. Period. The styling is classic and timeless. I suppose thats attributed to the rules and principles of aerodynamics, they wont change either.

Classic no fault automobile - 2001 Porsche 911
By swiz454 - June 19 - 12:26 pmIt was my dream car as a kid and even though I had to go used I have no complaints or regrets. I found a cherry 01 manual with only 26k on the clock, all original with removable hardtop. My daily driver is a 09 BMW 335i coupe auto. That car, as great as it is, does not draw compliments like the 911. Its a statement to how timeless the design really is. Surprising the 911 is just as fast as my 8 year newer BMW. At todays prices the 996 are a super bargain right now. My friends thought it was new. I suggest searching out a good example, park it in the garage and drive it for another 10 years.

What an Upgrade! - 2001 Porsche 911
By EMPEX - April 30 - 11:50 pmMy wife traded our Boxter for a 2001 911 convertible one owner with 20K miles. This is the greatest upgrade ever. I love this car. It handles like a race car but is a great daily driver. The performance is great and I love the looks. I keep trying to buy a Vette but have ended up with 2 Porsches. The dealership here is great and Im in the Porsche club now. My Porsche experience has been positive. Repairs and maintenance arent cheap but keeping a fine sports car in perfect shape is worth it. One fall day with the top down on a curvy mountain road is something you cant describe. I recommend Porsches.

911 Turbo rocks - 2001 Porsche 911
By Al Temail - February 12 - 8:06 amIf you have the money and you want to experience real performance, try the 911 Turbo. The car is almost too fast for the streets of Dallas, you need plenty of room when you get into it because in a flash youll be at 85 and theres huge upside from there. If I dont hit 110 everyday (even for a moment) its a sad day. There are plenty of reasonably priced mods that you can do to increase performance - if you need it. Bear in mind there is a Porsche tax which means the same part for BMW will cost 50% less and the same part for a Mercedes will cost 30% less. As the saying goes, speed costs money, how fast can you afford to go?
