This Year's Model Updates:

The Grand Prix underwent a redesign for 2004, but those familiar with the big sedan will find its blend of performance and comfort hasn't changed much.

Pros:
  • Strong supercharged V6, nimble handling, attractive gauges, easy-to-use controls, big trunk, fold-flat front-passenger seat.
Cons:
  • Build and materials quality still needs work, tight backseat, noisy engine, not enough storage or cupholders, no auto climate control.

I love the style and performance of my GP and the fact that its well equiped for the money. Ive driven it all winter and in Michigan you appreciate a car that blows out the heat!!!Its a big deal with me.

I have put over 8000 miles and this car and had a ball in every one of them. Good all around well designed car. I have owned two Z28s and this out performs them both. If only it had rear wheel drive I would be in heaven.

We just bought our 004 Grand Prix GT2 but so far -- loving it!!!!!!!! Fast and nimble and oh so fun! A little disappointed in the information read- out screen (not enough info listed) and not enough cubbies or cup holders but still an awesome interior. We tried it out as a rental and really enjoyed it then we went out and bought the upgrade.

Well, no further problems to report...just the same ones! The windshield is too low at the top (must scootch down to see the street light). the top of my head rubs against the ceiling (Im 64") but never had this problem with my 00 GT. Im hating NOT having an auto-dim rear view mirror. Night driving stinks when youre constantly blinded. People still confuse me with a Grand Am (including my girl friend)..YUK! Drove in the "Detroit Dream Cruise" all weekend and got my butt kicked almost every time. 0-60 in 6.6 NO WAY!! Seen 7.1+ on other sites and feels even slower to me. All talk and no walk. SLUGGISH! STAY AWAY. Dont be tricked by incentives(like me)

This is a very good car. This just makes me feel good about American cars once again, and on top of that I still have some cash in my pocket.

  • Love this Car! - 2004 Pontiac Grand Prix

I bought my 2004 Pontiac brand new! It has 132,000 miles on it and I still love this car like when I bought it. I have only had minor things go wrong, but nothing ever major! I sadly trading it in for something newer with less miles. Being Pontiac isnt making these anymore I am having to search for a car just as great! If you love POWER you will love the 3.8 motor.
