Overview & Reviews
The Grand Prix underwent a redesign for 2004, but those familiar with the big sedan will find its blend of performance and comfort hasn't changed much.
- Strong supercharged V6, nimble handling, attractive gauges, easy-to-use controls, big trunk, fold-flat front-passenger seat.
- Build and materials quality still needs work, tight backseat, noisy engine, not enough storage or cupholders, no auto climate control.

Wonderful - 2004 Pontiac Grand Prix
By Eldin - January 30 - 7:53 amJust when I was thinking about switching to an import I walked into a Pontiac dealership in Grand Rapids, MI. The customer service was great and I drove out with my brand new 2004 GP GT2. I absolutely love the car. Only thing i would note is that fuel efficiency is awsome. There were times where I could do up to 400 miles per tank on HWY. Car handles awesome even in recent winter storms that we had in Michigan. Only thing I would change about it is the interior design where to my taste the designer did not pay much attention to the details. Yes wheel is nice and so is the control board, but I believe when a car costs you 25K enterior should be not good but astonishing. Still a HOT ROD.

It turns a few heads - 2004 Pontiac Grand Prix
By Eric - January 9 - 5:10 amWere a family of four and about to be empty nesters. We were looking for a minivan replacement, and frankly the $6K rebate is what sold us this car. Its good looking to us and the front seats are very comfortabe. But after a year with the car we have issues: cheap interior plastics are hard to clean; Engine has plenty of torque, but it always feels heavy; OEM tires impossible to keep balanced; its hard to back up; and the rear seat is downright painful for anyone over 12. (We noticed the rear seat has improved in the 2005 model) Anyway, its still fun to drive when its just my wife and I. The stereo is excellent, it handles well and its big V6 is good for interstate crusing.

My 2004 Grand Prix GT2 - 2004 Pontiac Grand Prix
By Mary Humphrey - December 31 - 10:00 amI have traveled in deep snow pounding rain and have never lost control of my vehicle. This is the second Grand Prix I have owned and I dont think I will be changing models for a while. I buy a new car every 2-3 years and I am very happy with the grand prix.

GT2 - 2004 Pontiac Grand Prix
By bcarlton - November 30 - 2:00 amTraded 2001 GT for 04 GT2. What a differance. Better ride Better road feel. Car feels much tighter. I can live with the crappy plastic center radio/climate control skin for the improved ride. Throttle by wire very reactive for better gas pedal responce.

Great Value Grand Prix - 2004 Pontiac Grand Prix
By CEEZR - November 28 - 1:26 amI have driven many cars in my life this car has been a great value. Very reliable, excellent fuel economy 25/31MPG, reg gas, I drive 65-70 mph I bought it new from the dealer and has been a very good car and it is a lot of car for the money. Heck over 30 miles per gallon on the highway thats as good as most compacts. I would buy another one. Why buy a Camry? I drove one before the GP and this has been a much better car.

Love This Car - 2004 Pontiac Grand Prix
By J. Hubert - November 20 - 12:00 pmI wasnt in the market for a Pontiac but it was for my wife and it was her choice. She liked the styling. We bought it in 05 from an off-lease with 18,000 miles on it. The OE Goodyear tires were junk and made bad noise. Replaced them with Michelin and it made a world of difference. This one of the best cars I have ever owned. I have been driving it every day for the last 2 years 80 miles round trip to work. it now has 148,000 on it and its still a great car. Great power, performance, comfort and reliability. I average 26 MPG. No major problems. This car has renewed my faith in American vehicles. Very sad to see Pontiac go. Anyone who hates this car must have a lemon. Yes, I would buy again

Love the new Poncho - 2004 Pontiac Grand Prix
By Chuck Glass - November 18 - 10:00 amCompared to its competition I think this caris indeed "Driving Excitement". It eats Honda Accords for lunch. All in all a very nice car to drive and, occasionally, rock out with. Chuck

Excellant car - 2004 Pontiac Grand Prix
By Ponyetr - November 18 - 10:00 amOutstanding car. As a current owner of a 97 Grand Prix GTP and 04 Grand Prix GTP Comp G, all I can say is the General really did a big number on improvements for the Grand Prix. Ride is alot more confortable and stiffer than previous years. Interior styling is also improved. Acceration was good with the car stock, now after $650 in Mods the car runs 13.7s in the 1/4. Thats Driving Excitment.

One Great Car - 2004 Pontiac Grand Prix
By Allen Payne - November 5 - 2:36 amThis is one fun car to drive, with extremely high quality in the building of the vehicle. I now have 28,000 miles and have not found one thing wrong and all the panels fit perfectly. I have the supercharged GTP with the heads-up display. It is really a pleasure to drive and the stability control works like it should.
