This Year's Model Updates:

The Grand Prix underwent a redesign for 2004, but those familiar with the big sedan will find its blend of performance and comfort hasn't changed much.

Pros:
  • Strong supercharged V6, nimble handling, attractive gauges, easy-to-use controls, big trunk, fold-flat front-passenger seat.
Cons:
  • Build and materials quality still needs work, tight backseat, noisy engine, not enough storage or cupholders, no auto climate control.

Company car - would not have looked at this otherwise. Quite surprised with the Grand Prix. Great handling, comfortable and lots of power. Has the feel of an expensive foriegn car. I have driven the c class and 3 series - tight. Grand Prix has plenty of room. Worth taking a look at.

I love this car it has more speed then my BMW 330i. I had bought it for my wife but now I gave her the BMW so I could have the CompG. If you buy this car I am sure you will be happy. GM did a great job talk about a car being REBORN.!!!!!

I traded our 99 GTP in on my wifes Tahoe, and really missed driving it. I wasnt impressed with the new GP in the brochure until I saw & drove it. It was a joy to drive and looked much better with the 5 spoke chrome wheels than the 10 spoke in the brochure. I would highly recommend this car to anyone with a family that needs room but still craves a little sport and performance. This car is a perfect fit!

  • Great interior design - 2004 Pontiac Grand Prix

I replaced my 2002 Ford Taurus with this 2004 Grand Prix GT2, and the difference is like night and day. The Grand Prix is MUCH nicer on the inside than any previous model. Power is much better than the Taurus, and the ABS and traction control make a big difference on the snowy roads. I am very satisfied with this purchase!

Im a mid 20s guy that helped start my own business. I needed a car that was functional in the cargo department, but wanted a car that I could have fun with. The first time I drove the GTP with the Competition package, I fell in love with the car. The car hugs the turns with out much roll and is pretty quick with the supercharger. Definately a FUN car to drive.

  • If you liked the last gen... - 2004 Pontiac Grand Prix

As a 5 time Grand Prix owner, this generation is the best Prix yet. If you like to drive, and I mean DRIVE, then you should give this car a test drive. GMs 24 Hour test drive is a wonderful program and I advise you to take advantage of it. My car is the GTP with the Comp G package. My 2002 GTP was a car that asked to be driven. My 04 DEMANDS to be driven.

I love this car. I wanted something that looked good but was still family oriented and I got it in this car. I am 6 6" and I can fit behind the drivers seat with passengers behind me. Everything looks good and the only complaint I have is the headlamps seem to go out on it all the time. I am always replacing a light whether it be a driving light or a turn signal.

This car is one of the most fun I ever driven. Oustanding road performance at high speed. With the supercharger, this car will move when you want it too. There are couple features that could be improved and make sure you dont need to take the car to dealer ship for repair. The pullies for the serpentine belt are one the weak side. Had them replaced twice so far. They are not stabil and is causing rattle and squeaks at colder temperature.

I was set on the Infinity G35. I owned a 98 GTP. I just wanted to see a GTP 2004 before I made the choice. I didnt like the look that much but I decided to drive it. The drive sold me. The tap shifts seperated the car from any other. The low end power was enough to spin the 17" tires for 30 ft even with traction control. The electronics displays are excellent. The Monsoon stereo was equal to any bose. On Star sweetened the deal. The design of the trunk and the fold down rear seats make the car very versatile and not matched by its competition. The fold flat front seat makes you wonder why this is not standard on all cars.
