The Pontiac G6 sees a host of changes for the 2006 model year. Starting things off are two new body styles: a two-door coupe and a hardtop convertible. The coupe will be available at the beginning of the model year, while the convertible hits dealer showrooms early in the 2006 calendar year. There are also new trim levels. A four-cylinder base sedan caters to those shoppers on a tighter budget, while a GTP trim increases the G6's performance threshold via the addition of a new 240-hp V6, stability control and an available six-speed manual transmission.

  One thing I noticed about the G6 is that when you go fill up at the gas station, it never seems to fill up all the way on the gauge. If it does, it falls below the "F" with in a few miles. Also, I noticed that the panoramic sunroof does not have a complete seal when closed. While driving I can hear a slight whistle and I was misted with water at the car wash.

  I traded in my Gran Prix GTP coupe for this car because the GTP was out of warranty and it used pricey premium gas. I have been pleasantly surprised by the cars handling and preformance. It drives like a Pontiac!

  I have no idea why people right bad reviews on this car. I get 30mpg+ on the highway. I just change oil as required,did front brakes once and thats it, 74,000 miles The car was cheap and owes me nothing. This is far superior to a civic or corolla,in comfort,style and economy.

  Great leg room for tall people, great mileage. Good Power and manuvering, best of all great deal for the money. Love the seats the pedal electronically moveability for different drivers. No bad blind spots. Overall the best car I have ever owened including my old caddie that I thought I would keep forever.

  I have not even had my G6 for a year and I have had at least 5 things go wrong. About a month after I got the car, the air conditioning went out. Then about 2 months later the power steering would lock up. About 3 months after that I had the breaks fixed and at the same time the starter needed to be replaced. Now, I have the car in getting fixed b/c of a loud noise and the engine light and reduced engine power light coming on. This car has been the biggest nightmare and I am going to trade it as soon as I can!!!

  This car is performing very well for me, I just took it on a 300 mile trip and got 34 mpg. I took it through the mts and it was great around the corners, up the hill and down.

  Excellent Experience so far. Have had this car 3 weeks and have put 1500 miles on it. I love to drive it. Just took it through the smokies and it handled great around the bends, up the hills and down.

  With over 117 models to choose from these days I went through several before making a decision and I can say this was and is a good decision. The car has great performance, handling and ride. Considering I examined cars from 18 to 36K this has everything a normal person could want at a great price. The last time I owned a pontiac was in 1990 and after that never considered them again until this came along the G6 coupe came along. All I can say is its about time!

  I love this car! I feel like the car is part of me when I drive. From steering response to seat positioning, every thing is perfect. Hit the gas and zoooooom. Best car I have ever owned.

  I never expected so much performance from a vehicle in this price range. Especially not from a non import. It feels like an Acura or a BMW - at 1/2 the price. These cars are going to go up in price as this "secret" becomes common knowledge.
