Come Back Olds ! - 2000 Oldsmobile Intrigue
By Ann P. - August 9 - 9:28 amI purchased my 2000 intrigue in 2001, with 23 thousand miles on it. This car has been the best investment Ive ever made because I still use it nearly everyday with no problems. It still rides like a top and still peppy! After 17 yrs, the air conditioner has stopped working and needs to be checked out( it works but dont blow cold air). The fuses have had to be changed once over the years but thats about it. It is the best riding car in the snow and other bad weather. My Intrigue now has 167,000 miles and still rides smooth and quiet. I would definitely buy a new one if they still made them!

Great Ride but the Brakes are Awful - 2000 Oldsmobile Intrigue
By Jim Keith - July 17 - 6:43 pmI have had this car for three years now and I can honestly say that I really like to drive it. I have a bad back, and even with that, I can make 600 miles in a day. This is one comfortable car and its fuel mileage is 29 to 31 mpg on the road, and that makes me smile a lot. What I dont like is the two break jobs that I have needed in the past year. Also, the cheap turn signal light sockets that should be about $0.69 to replace and cost $30.00 at the dealer. And before I forget, the rattling steering column.

Great Ride - 2000 Oldsmobile Intrigue
By dpc-kcmo - July 12 - 8:56 pm237,500 miles and its a great ride. I bought it as program car with 22K on it and have driven it all over the USA. Trading it in on a new program car! Great ride, pickup and handling, STILL!

Best Car Ive Ever Owned - 1998 Oldsmobile Intrigue
By tgnmb - July 3 - 2:16 amOther than routine maintance, my Oldsmobile Intrigue has been a champ through long trips and city stop and go driving. I had back surgery and this is the most comfortable car that I have ever sat in. The power is incredible for this style car and with the airbag system I feel safe. The sound system is awesome, it has the OEM sound Ive heard - and Im a sound man and electrician. My son is comfortable and safe in this car and that makes the differnce. It also has trunk space for many long trips. It saddens me that GM decided to stop the Oldsmobile line because if they came out with a new Intrigue I would buy it. Mine now has nearly 130,000 miles on it, but Im sure she has a lot of miles left.

great car - 2001 Oldsmobile Intrigue
By lee - June 14 - 2:00 amSome fit & finish items are lacking, but overall a great car for the $$$, especially since olds is offering the 60,000 bumper-bumper warranty.

Money well spent! - 2000 Oldsmobile Intrigue
By MJJ - June 11 - 2:20 amOriginally was going to order my car but found the exact car, feature for feature, at one of the local dealerships. This has been an exceptional car. Well made, great performance and handling, quiet and best of all, plenty of room for someone 62", like myself. Bose 8 speaker stereo is fantastic and theres nothing like turning on the heated seats on a cold morning. Interstate driving will give you 27-28 MPG. Local driving will give you around 20 MPG. As of 5/2009, only major repair has been the sway bar. Minor repairs have been the plastic clips that support the power windows.

Good Car - 2002 Oldsmobile Intrigue
By John F. - June 8 - 3:40 pmThis is pretty much a good car. I love the way it drives. The acceleration is amazing. The car feels so powerful, but like any GM vehicle, it has its problems.

Decent Car - 1998 Oldsmobile Intrigue
By Ktrud - May 26 - 10:00 amBought my 98 Intrigue at 64,000 in May of 09, got a great deal on it from the dealership I worked at. Old guy owned it before, hardly drove it. After owning it a year and a half it is still a nice car. The interior has held up nicely. 3 of the 4 power window motors went out due to car being from TX, lots of dust and dirt in the track caused windows to fall out of tracks. Replaced serpentine belt at 72k. Quarter panels seem to dent very easily with the slightest impact. Currently has 87k on it and everything is going well! Paint holds up, electric system, brakes.. ride is very smooth and pretty quiet for being 12 years old. All around nice car for the average driver.

Value Purchase - 2002 Oldsmobile Intrigue
By swagled - May 21 - 10:00 amThis is a real bang-for-the buck vehicle. Well optioned, nice handling, and styling still competitive for a 1997 design. There are some annoying design flaws (popping sounds in the steering, flickering headlights) common to this car, but no problems in the sense of reliability. The car is very long-legged and drives quite confidently at 90MPH.
