Power when you need it! The car handles great, the traction control is one heck of a feature in the rain. Ride is smooth, fairly quiet compared to other cars in its class. Pleanty of leg room both front and back and huge trunk space. The wrapped leather steering wheel, shifter, doors, and center console add a touch of class. Interior looks way better than the Intrigues Grand Prix counterpart.

This is by far the best car I have ever had. The 3.5liter DOHC engine is too good to be true. Have never had any problems with this car. Awesome Car. Nice sounding Bose stereo w/ cd player.

This has been a great car. I purchased it when it was about a year and a half old with 28,000 miles on it. It now has 178,800 miles and has given me zero problems. Great gas mileage and smooth ride. I have only replaced the brakes once and that was about a month ago.

Bought my Intrigue off the showroom floor in August 1998. This has been the BEST car ever. Ive never had one problem. It only has 41,750 miles now! Im getting ready to trade only for the fact that Im tired of the same car for 10 years!

  • Been A Good Car - 1998 Oldsmobile Intrigue

I bought this car in 2006 and I have no complaints. It is starting to fall apart but I expected this to happen soon with over 241,000 miles on it. It has always been reliable Abd I have no complaints

  • Decent, Fun car - 1999 Oldsmobile Intrigue
    By -

I bought my 99 GL with 33,000 miles a year and a half ago. It now has 62,000 miles. I replaced the original tires at 59,000, and the front brakes at 55,000. This car is fun to drive with the 3.5L, very reponsive, handles beautifully. The only problem Ive had is the voltage regulator. The headlights and accessories (fan) dim/slowdown slightly and repeatedly (more noticeably during cold weather). Dealer told me it had been a problem but GM didnt consider it a recall issue. I can drive as is or pay $400 for a redesigned unit.

We brought this car in August of 2004 because of the price and the financing on it was in our price range. It has been one of the best cars we have ever owned. Very few problems and nothing major has gone wrong with it. It runs great and get great mileage. We are still driving it and still love it.

When we bought ours about 3 months ago I loved it. But now, the crankshaft sensor needs to be replaced, the starter needs to be replaced and the gas needle has this problem where it still has 6 gallons of gas after it gets to E. Other than those problem its a good running car. Plenty of power and handles like a sports car.

I love the way the car handles as well as its looks. However, I have had many reoccuring problems when it comes to cosmetics. First problem I had on many occasions is the bubbling of the leather on the door panels. They were replaced on a few occasions while under warantee, again Im having the problem. I have also had the windows sticking to the rubber which has broken the motors of the electric windows both during and now after the warantee has expired. I have already replaced the motors on both front doors and am now replacing the rear drivers. The replacement costs are an outrageous $400 each. I WILL NEVER PURCHASE A GENERAL MOTORS VEHICLE AGAIN.

  • Trans failed at 11,000 - 1998 Oldsmobile Intrigue
    By -

The transmission failed at 11,000 miles. I bought a new GM replacement which they will guarantee for 100,000 miles or 3 hears. It wasnt under warranty because it was in a garage for 10 years, so it cost me over $4000. The AC motor leaks and the dealer couldnt find the tool to replace it. But it drives well and smoothly and handles very well for a GM car.
