Great American Gem - 1998 Oldsmobile Intrigue
By joemastertrader - April 5 - 10:00 amMy car has 92,000 miles on it and I have not had to make one repair, except for oil changes, one set of brakes and tires, this car has not cost me a dime. Gas milege is very reasonable. I drive 70 miles a day and average around 24 miles to the gallon. With my 70 mile round trip commute, I have found the seating very comfortable. I have found an American gem. This car provides all of the features, look, handling and functionality I could ask for in a car. With ample space for a family of 5, I doubt a Japanese car in its class could compare!!

Safe Car - 1998 Oldsmobile Intrigue
By Ashley - March 16 - 9:36 amBought this car when my van quit on me. I loved it! It was very roomy and nice. Had a great sunroof, sound system, and 6 disc changer. The gas was great also....However, son flipped it 4 times, and rammed into a tree and walked out with no injuries. This car is extremely safe and built well!!

excitement wearing off - 1998 Oldsmobile Intrigue
By GM ex-fan? - March 4 - 10:00 amBought the car in September 2002 and so far have not had any major problems. 2 weeks ago took the car to the dealer, a sensor change cost $560 (good thing is I purchased the GM protection plan). I was surprised to find out how many of the complaints listed here actually are problems of my own: door panels have bubbles, climate controls refused to work one morning (that can drive you mad when its winter and you live in MI!); previously owned a Buick Regal and the noise on the Olds is overwhelming.

Much More Good Than Bad - 2001 Oldsmobile Intrigue
By Hamburger - February 14 - 10:00 amThis is a nice vehicle, but for one whose first new car, a 1956 Chevrolet Bel-Aire with all the bells and whistles, cost less than $3,000, it is expensive. That said, Ive put more than 11,000 miles on this one in seven months and find few faults -- road noise is the major one of these -- and no major problems. On the other hand, the car is tight, reasonably comfortable, has plenty of moxie and constantly flirts with 30 mpg even with mountain driving. In summary, this car has much more good than bad going for it.

Great Overall Car - 1998 Oldsmobile Intrigue
By Nick Ellermann - February 2 - 10:00 amThere isnÂ’t much of a difference between driving this car and my previous Grand Prix. A fun, sporty mid sized car. An Excellent value for itÂ’s reasonable price tag. I added a receiver hitch to my Intrigue and pulled a fully loaded 8Â’ Uhaul trailer through the Appalachian Mountains. I was amazed it was able to pull it!

I miss my Intrigue. - 1999 Oldsmobile Intrigue
By Jay - January 31 - 12:43 pmBest. Car. Ever. I had this car since 03 and it never failed on me. I got 200,000+ miles on this car and it would have been more had I not gotten into an accident. It would have been 10 years old next year and it was still running great. The interior is great and I was glad to drive a car that looked like a car, rather than some boxy car like the Prius or Malibu. Also, another reason why I like this car was because I was able to drive it through the mud (I live in a rural area) and there was nothing like going into town and driving next to a pathetic hummer that never touched dirt -- this is why the Intrigue rules!

Decent, affordable - 2000 Oldsmobile Intrigue
By Michael - January 27 - 6:36 amOur Oldsmobile intrigue is pretty much standard options. Not long after we bought it the air conditioner went out. Also it makes a loud noise when you turn the steering wheel. Although we bought it used with 140,000 miles. I think it was a wonderful car for the money. Gas mileage is 21 mpg city 30 mpg highway. I would suggest this car to anybody.

A Nice Ride - 2002 Oldsmobile Intrigue
By Brian J. - January 11 - 4:10 amI recently got a used Intrigue. It was in good condition with only 90,000 miles. It rides great and has good acceleration. Its fuel economy is average, I get about 330 miles to the tank. It is a good car to have. I have had no problems with it so far and the car had no history of problems. Bottom line: this is a good car to have.
