Great car - 2001 Oldsmobile Intrigue
By Griffin - May 28 - 3:43 amThis is my second Oldsmobile. It was a natural replacement for my 97 Cutlass Supreme. You can definately feel the quality difference between the two cars. I chose a beautiful Ruby Red Metallic GL with every option available on that model. The 3.5L DOHC engine is so smooth you forget its running! The car is very well-built and you can really notice the quality of the car.

Fun to Drive, but not Reliable - 1999 Oldsmobile Intrigue
By Michelle - May 16 - 11:00 pmThis is a stylish car that is fun to drive, but its not reliable. First, all four of the power windows quit working. Then the regulator broke in ALL four windows so the windows would not stay up. Now the A/C is on the fritz and it has had numerous electrical problems that are extremely expensive to fix. The cruise control no longer works and the drivers side sun visor broke so it no longer stays up.

Great Care - 2001 Oldsmobile Intrigue
By Good car - May 16 - 2:00 amI bought this car with 160,000 miles on it. Not bad. After replacing brakes, tires and struts, and of course keeping up with oil, it runs great. I get 33 mpg highway. It goes when I want it to go, and sure, sometimes the blinkers quit working, but oh well. This car rocks it up the mountain with power, and it rocks it in the snow better than 4x4. My car just hit 202,000, and its running just as good if not better than when I bought it.

Great Car! - 1999 Oldsmobile Intrigue
By gatorchamps96 - May 4 - 2:00 amWe bought this car with alot of enthusiasm. It was refreshing to find a GM that exceeded all others in its class. The overall performance of this vehicle really shined when we compared it to other competitors (Accord, Camry, etc). The car has never given us any mechanical problems, and it has aged very well. The interior looks as new as the day we bought it, and the exterior paint looks perfect. We have had to replace a power window motor, but it was taken care of thru our warranty and has never given us any more problems. The car has been fun to own and fun to drive. I would definitely refer this car to a friend.

This Car Has Given Me Lots Of Problems - 1999 Oldsmobile Intrigue
By mikey - April 24 - 7:50 amIve had this car since a year ago and when I bought it for $2,000. I thought I was getting a steal. Until I drove it al ot and gave it a good test run. Since Ive had it Ive had too fix the power steering, the timing belt, crankshaft, and the starter. Now I am currently taking it into the shop to get it looked at because yesterday it just died as I was going down the road and when it happened I lost all of my acceleration and it slowly died in the parking lot, now when I try to start it it sound like the starter is spinning but its just not catching. This car is great! But it also comes with its grief and youll spend a good amount of money on it.

Not Intrigued - 2000 GLS - 2000 Oldsmobile Intrigue
By Intrigued_not - April 17 - 2:00 amTransmission out at 52k miles, $1800 to rebuild at private shop, not dealer. Front brakes uneven, right front locks up frequently. Alternator needs replaced at 61k, putting out only 10 amps ($225 new w/ exchange), but luckily have found two salvage yards that claim they have one for $50 and $75, but install is 3 hours and looks difficult.

One owner car for 10 years - 1998 Oldsmobile Intrigue
By Kevin Kary - April 8 - 10:06 amI bought this car new, put 60K on it in three years, gave it to wife who put 40K on it in 4 years, and my two high school/college kids put the last 30K on it in three years. Overall a very good car. Drive train is great with the Series II V6 and a strong tranny. A lot of electrical problems over the years. The interior has disintegrated and all the plastic stuff is broken. The windshield wipers have been a problem. The A/C crashed after 6 years and was too expensive to fix so weve done without. I feel like Ive gotten my money out of it so Im trading it in. If I found a clean one used, Id buy it for the kids.

Love it! - 2000 Oldsmobile Intrigue
By Intrigue in AZ - March 22 - 1:10 pmIve had my 2K Intrigue for almost a year now. I purchased it with just under 30K miles and it now has just over 40K. I have not had a single problem. The car is great to drive, good acceleration and handling. I recently took it on a road trip to LA from Phoenix and it was a dream to entire trip; had the cruise control set at nearly 100mph and it was still under 3000rpm.

I Heart My Olds - 2000 Oldsmobile Intrigue
By zack24566 - February 7 - 6:43 amI love my 2000 Oldsmobile Intrigue. I was looking for a good car to take to college (Im a senior in high school) and I believe that I have found a good quality car. Its fun to drive, gets great gas mileage (even with the 3.5L Twin Cam V6), and is the most comfortable car that I or any of my friends have ever ridden in. This car, in my opinion, is one of the best used cars out there. I would definitely recommend this car to anyone who likes to ride around in style, but not sacrifice reliability or fuel economy.

unassuming, suprisingly fast, dependable - 2000 Oldsmobile Intrigue
By mmtphoto - January 28 - 1:20 amThis is the lighter, quicker version of the Aurora (I have a 2001) and it is a great, dependable car. We have had very few problems-crank sensor, water leak on passenger side front that caused a problem with blower, all in all an easy fix. The aluminum v6 is simply outstanding, and so it the trans- I get 17/18 city and 24/25 highway, and even though this is the stripped down version, it has a good sound system with CD/cassette player and good AC system. It has a power driver seat, power mirrors, windows & locks. I installed remote door/trunk opener, and fog lamps, drilled/slotted rotors-I consider this a poor mans 535 BMW-and it is much quicker. It is full of surprises.
