Overall OK but has some issues - 2001 Oldsmobile Intrigue
By drhodesvt - October 21 - 7:23 amThe car is OK, but with mine both passenger windows need the motor replaced, they just seized up one day. Also, the lights flicker and dim on occasion, which is a known issue. Also, resale value is horrible on this car. The engine, so far, has worked great with no major problems. The issues I have with the car are not covered by a warranty, including some that known issues and should be recalled.

10 years and still great - 2000 Oldsmobile Intrigue
By ketch5 - October 19 - 7:06 amBought new, special ordered, the day before Thanksgiving 1999 (Mine also came with a dealer installed aftermarket SLP stageI TypeR performance/handling package as well). Bought it for two main reasons: the engine (rated in the 10 best at the time) and the styling; Wanted a European type handling/ride and refinement and this had it. 63000 miles now and 10 years old. All power windows went out over time and had to be replaced (a common GM issue); Other than recent tie rod end replacements, nothing else. Have had this on a race track (Road America road course in Wis.) for over an hour chasing (and passing) BMWs back in 2001; Great handling; OK used, but epxect some issues.

Reliable with regular oil changes - 1999 Oldsmobile Intrigue
By Kevin - October 8 - 11:03 amBought this car used with only 7,400 miles on it. I now have 86,000 miles on it and it still runs great. ust follow the maintenance schedule and youll be fine. Ive had to replace the battery twice. But no other issues or extra costs. Changed the oil between 3K and when the change oil light came on. I have to make sure I check the oil levels regularly since it uses about a quart in between every oil change. Comfortable, powerful, and good stock speaker system. Handles smooth and predictable.

Horrible Car. Dont buy Used. - 2002 Oldsmobile Intrigue
By jlsmith1215 - September 28 - 12:20 amCheck engine, Service Vehicle, and Low Trac lights are on when start car up. Took car to a mechanic and he did a diagnosis check he says I need a new crank shaft senor. But turned around wasted $265.00 on the senor. Windshield wiper motor went out after a yr having it. 3 of the 4 windows work. Sometimes only 2 work. This Car SUCKKKKKKKKKKKKKK!!!!! Do Not Buy This Car Used.

Best Car - 2001 Oldsmobile Intrigue
By BRIANs - August 27 - 10:00 amMore bells & whistles than I would ever desire. A beauty to drive & have had MANY compliments (even by teens). Barring catastrophy, the last car I plan to own (a keeper).

Happy with my Olds - 2000 Oldsmobile Intrigue
By Matt D - August 23 - 2:00 amI purchased this Intrigue with only 7600 miles on the odometer, it was two years old. The car has performed to my expectations for a family sedan. Its reliable, has a strong engine and is very stylish. I am so far very pleased with this vehicle.

I expected better - 1999 Oldsmobile Intrigue
By tag - August 18 - 2:00 amI bought this car new and have had the same problems Id expect from buying a used vehicle with mileage. These are testing my "GM Loyalty". A bad factory windshield replaced 2 days after purchase. Warped rotors were replaced at 19K. The engine smelled of gas at 31K which required replacement of the fuel injector regulator ($400). Eagle LS tires were trashed at 27K. The AM/FM TAPE/CD fader button is broken. The driverside door sticks. You might think I wouldnt recommend this car. However, since its lost 2/3 of its purchase price in 4 years Id say itd be a good used car value.

Ten and I still love her! - 1999 Oldsmobile Intrigue
By Lyn - August 17 - 4:13 pmShe has almost 160,000 on her, a few little patches of rust, have had to replace 2 sensors, and have had a few problems..her interior is getting worn, right blinker stops working when ya slam the hood too hard.....but this little car can still go from 0 to 60 in seconds! Everyone laughs until they drive her. I love this car, its been faithful, best I have ever owned...and still driving it 9 years later!

The "Trigue is the Greatest! - 1999 Oldsmobile Intrigue
By bayview6 - August 15 - 5:46 amSure, Ive had to replace the crankcase sensor and a couple of front wheel hubs, but Ive really gotten my moneys worth from my Intrigue. Now at 100K miles (bought new) and that includes plenty of severe service of driving for less than 1 mile, the car drives "almost" like new. Will change the spark plugs for the first time in a few weeks. I have maintained the vehicle reasonably well, probably better than most people. Plan on keeping it for several more years since its fuel economy is outstanding given its performance, everything on the car works, and its body styling only gets better with age. Im very glad I bought it.
