Good American Car - 2000 Oldsmobile Intrigue
By Good American Car - December 30 - 4:46 pmI purchased the car with 50000 miles and it now has 112000. Always starts, its fast, great at highway speed. I like it as a sporty American sedan, similar to the 5 series or any smaller Benz. Electrical system have issues, signals, flashers, window motor replacement is expensive and must have design flaws. A great looking car still today, far more interesting than a Camry, maxima, etc.

Keep it for its size - 1999 Oldsmobile Intrigue
By MixedEmotion - December 23 - 3:03 amI bought this car 2 yrs used, and it now has almost 160k miles on it. Before I go negative, this car is a hoot to drive! It sticks in the curves, and has big mirrors and reasonable acceleration. 80 mph is like standing still. Mine is on the 2nd engine and 2nd ABS module, the back window machines are busted, and some think it is more trouble than its worth. This time its a water leak from the intake cover. I think this year I will have put over $1500 into repairs (including that ABS and break overhaul, and what I expect from this leak). I may also need a mass air flow sensor. My mechanic loves to see it coming.

My Experience - 1998 Oldsmobile Intrigue
By Charles Richey - November 30 - 10:00 amThis has been a great vehicle. I have had it in the shop once because of an actual problem. One of the pulleys was bent and it ripped off. The only other things I can think of other than that that arent good is that it could use a little more leg room, a boost in hp, and the doors where the window controls are keep popping out.

A European touring car built in America - 1999 Oldsmobile Intrigue
By SMaine - November 30 - 10:00 amCombine a smooth, sophicated 3.5 V-6 with a firm yet supple ride, wrapped in muscular understated styling and what do you get? One of GMs best cars. Not a wallowing barge like Oldsmobiles of yesteryear, the Intrigue has the handling and performance I really appreciate. The car is quite handsome, most people think its a Nissan Maxima. Reliabilty has been good so far, no rattles or squeaks at 52000 miles. You sit high up in a commanding driving position and the ride is comfy. The small things work well on this car; the turn signal and wiper stalks have a crisp feeling to them so often lacking on other GM products. Overall, I think GM got this one right.

2000 Intrigue Never again - 2000 Oldsmobile Intrigue
By pc911 - November 28 - 4:38 amBought my 2000 Intrugue about 6 years ago, had 60,000 miles on it, to date have had to replace. computer and they had to have a mach. from the Cadalac dealership program it because they couldt do it.wheel ABS sensor, Altenater, exshaust system, ingnition, wiper motor, AC, had it towed 6 times, wipers again wont shut off, electric gas door was a dumb idea, all in all I wouldnt buy another one, or take it for free, I used to love Olds but not this one.

I love my Intrigue GLS - 2002 Oldsmobile Intrigue
By traveller - November 23 - 2:00 amI agree with other postings. The engine is so quiet, responsive, economical, and the transmission is also very smooth. As with all GM vehicles, however the transmission has no compression braking. Therefore Im expecting the brake pads to wear out sooner than they did on my Honda Accord. Also, as on other GMs, its not possible to get air flow on side windows as well as the defrost and floor at the same time as on my Honda.

1999 Intrigue - 1999 Oldsmobile Intrigue
By taxator - November 17 - 2:00 amBuild quality very good for a GM car. Flawless paint and trim. I have owned this car for more than 4 years without a single problem. Nothing, I repeat, nothing has broken or malfunctioned. The interior is plain but very comfortable and despite the comments of some reviewers none of the plastic parts are shoddy or have been poorly fitted which is more than can be said for some of the nissan interiors I have seen. The car runs on regular gas and is a great highway cruiser. I consistantly get mileage above 30 mpg at 65-75 mph. I will keep this car as long as I can.

Love my 2000 Olds Intrigue! - 2000 Oldsmobile Intrigue
By lanova - November 16 - 11:34 amReading everyoneÂ’s issues here w/their Intrigue, guess I got lucky. Bought mine new in 2000 with 10 km on it. Thought I had a lemon with problems of it overheating & adjustments were made to thermostat in 2nd year. Never had much heat after that unless I was doing 120km on the hwy driving easterly on a sunny day. Since I was having hot flashes & driving mostly hwy anyway, didnÂ’t matter much, but I digress.
