Good Solid Car - 1999 Oldsmobile Intrigue
By Makfu - July 6 - 10:00 amA nice solid car. Not the most exciting ride, but reliable and capable. Excellent 3.5l 24v shortstar V6 has power to spare when coupled with the GLSs better ratios. Excellent steering, predictable handling and rock-solid unibody.

By sublioel - May 30 - 2:00 amMany people when they think of Oldsmobile as a slow old mans car, yet at 16 years of age, many teenagers oooooh and aaahh over many of its great features. Im a very satisfied owner.

excellent design - good value - 2000 Oldsmobile Intrigue
By vjd2211 - May 24 - 10:00 amthe car is an excellent value - during the last 30 months since I have owned this car, two small items have been replaced (never been stuck on the road) plus a sticky drivers door that was retuned" twice by the dealer. The car is a pleasure to drive; why GM is not continuing this design under another name beats me - OLDS is the only GM line now in touch with the american "urban" reality (I mean closest to it because there is still room for improvement) in the Northeast and Coastal West. All other designs look pretty ugly to me and some are 10 years behind.

Glad I got one of the last of these - 2002 Oldsmobile Intrigue
By Big Wes - May 19 - 10:00 amThe car is a revelation and a heck of a deal. Generous cash incentive from GM - an extended powertrain warranty - and a high performance great handling sport sedan. It goes like stink and is invisible to the Law. Too bad that this is the last of the line. It is a real winner.

By TIGGER - May 7 - 2:00 amVery pleasant ownership experience. Vehicle has a sporty feel & plenty of pep to make driving fun yet has a pleasant ride. Has plenty of room for 4 adults without feeling like a big car.

New Car Smell - 2000 Oldsmobile Intrigue
By shylockmike - May 2 - 10:00 amI bought this car 3/24/03 with only 13,159 miles on it. It still has the new car smell. On my test drive the brakes squeaked, but I attributed that to the fact the car had been sitting idle. Once I took delivery the noise subsided. Now 6/12/03 the car has 17,600 miles and I am getting pronounced feedback from the brake pedal and the car shutters when the brakes are applied. This is my first GM car, I have previously owned 2 Fords, a Toyota and a Nissan because I was always skeptical about the quality of GM and Chrysler vehicles. I hope my fears of poor GM quality are unfounded. I have an appointment for service on this vehicle 6/16/03.

Good Value - 2000 Oldsmobile Intrigue
By Hans - May 1 - 10:56 amI bought the car with 65k miles and it now has 120k. Besides routine maintenance, I have only had to go the shop twice. Once for the motor for the drivers side window, and once for a vent fan. It is spacious and comfortable. The dual climate control is a convenient feature.

Why did they stop building this car - 2000 Oldsmobile Intrigue
By raymanrayray - April 25 - 10:00 amI love to drive this car. You got the good sound the performance style everything all in one car. I would buy the newest version if they built one in a heartbeat. I have only had electric problems with it but thats it I still love the car.

Olds intrigue is Fun to drive, comfortable. - 1999 Oldsmobile Intrigue
By drdoug99 - April 22 - 7:21 pmI just bought the car used off a random guy off Craigslist for 1,000 bucks a couple months ago. It has issues of course, most minor, some major for a 14 year old car. Just put another 1,000 into it having the rear strut assemblies replaced, new exhaust system, tie rod, alignment, etc. This is all the major work that needed done. The rest is piddly stuff that any old car would need. So for 2,000 bucks I have a car that drives like a 10,000 car. Its got the 3.5L, with 160,000 miles on it. The engine and transmission shift smooth and quiet. The motor has plenty of passing power. Very impressed with the car overall.
