They finally got it right - 1999 Oldsmobile Intrigue
By jn - October 30 - 2:00 am45,000 miles and going strong. The only repairs that have done are to fix a fender bender. front brake pads, and have dealer replace the door molding on one door. Its just got a second set of tires this fall. I like this car. It does everything well. 3.5l (man I hope that didnt die with Olds) is a great engine and the max torque occures below 5000 rpm. The larger brakes were an option, I should have got them. They should have been standard. That is my only quibble with this car. Wind noise? I discovered this a long time ago.. wipe the door seals every other oil change with a seal lubricant. Does wonders.

An Oxymoron in Car Form - 1999 Oldsmobile Intrigue
By mustang43 - October 13 - 10:00 amThe "Intrigue" is the most inconspicuous car ever made, especially in dark green like mine. The car is decent and I like it quite a lot, the resale value is horrible, but I bought it used (no option for a new now, is there?) so thats okay.

Oldsmobile Intrigue GLS - 2002 Oldsmobile Intrigue
By Steven Jenn - September 26 - 10:00 amOverall Ive had a good experience, but lately ive started to have problems with it starting right away, so far ive paid over $200 to find out whats wrong and no one can tell me anything. They suggested that it had to do with fuel pressure and they said they have had problems like that with other Intrigues.

strong car! - 1998 Oldsmobile Intrigue
By aadil3 - August 14 - 10:00 amMy Intrigue now has 132,000 miles on it and it is running perfectly. Dont have any problems with it and it handles well on the road. The drive is smooth and has plenty of low end power.

Were Did the Value Go? - 1999 Oldsmobile Intrigue
By rep515 - August 5 - 2:00 amI love my 1999 Oldsmobile Intrigue; however, the value of this car has bottomed out! My friends 99 Kia Sportage (built in Korea) has held its value better than my Intrigue. I dont expect a car to hold its value for ever, but I do expect it to be worth more than $6500 with only 42k miles on it. Maybe I should by a Hyundia next time instead of a GM.

Touring Champ - 2002 Oldsmobile Intrigue
By Touring Fool - July 20 - 10:00 amGreat car. V6 is a gem of performance and economy. I gave up only 2 MPG (to 23-24 MPG) around town going from a 4- cyl to this car, and get similar freeway mileage (30-32MPG at 70-75mph). Interior design is great; nice touches with the steering wheel audio controls and dual zone automatic AC. Power heated leather is very comfortable (drove 5400 miles over two weeks this past summer). Downside is typical GM trim panel loosening with age (dash squeak) and large seams between panels. The handling and ride compromise is unbeatable - cruises in comfort over rough pavement at speed but encourages getting off the freeway in search of a twisty two lane.

I love my Intrigue by Dr. Oldsmobile - 2000 Oldsmobile Intrigue
By Sean418 - July 12 - 10:00 amI bought this car used, as I do with all my cars. This is an excellent car. It makes me so sad that Oldsmobile and especially Intrigue are going away. What a shame that others out there will never get the chance to have a smooth running fantastic car like this. Mine is dark blue and I love everthing about it. Here it is 6 months and not one problem I do not know why people say that GM does not build great cars. This is my 8th GM car and I would never buy another make.

Not Bad for the price... - 1998 Oldsmobile Intrigue
By Davidaz85 - July 8 - 2:00 amIm an 18 year-old teenager who drives alot. Olds are usually for older people and that is what I thought until I drove it. It has great sound, power, handling, and is a good car.
