1998 Olds LS - 1998 Oldsmobile Eighty Eight
By Stephen D. Bright Sr - November 24 - 10:00 amThis vehicle is fun to drive handles well and is very dependable. It has a very responsive and powerful 205hp V/6 engine. Great fuel economy as much as 30 mpg on the highway and approximately 25 mpg aroung town. Negatives include excessive wind noise at high speed 70 mph or greater from both front doors. There are also several squeaks in the interior trim especially around the dash.

Fun to drive. - 1996 Oldsmobile Eighty Eight
By Dave - October 15 - 6:36 amThe Olds Eighty-eight is a great highway car! It is very stable at high speeds, has good acceleration, is comfortable, and has acceptable gas mileage considering the horsepower. Like all sporty cars, this is not the most maintenance-free Ive owned. That is not to say it left me stranded on the side of the road, it just needed attention periodically; lots of little things quit working properly. Overall a good second car, and a great family vacation car.

I love this car! - 1999 Oldsmobile Eighty Eight
By susan - July 1 - 5:53 amI also hate that GM did not cover my expensive gasket problem when it happened in 2005 with just under 90,000 miles on it. Now have 141,000 miles and it has a few minor things wrong with it that I wont bother to fix - but I do love driving it. Also had problems with splitting leather problems the last 5 years. Somehow that hasnt held me back and I wish I could find another like it!

Not just Grandmas car - 1999 Oldsmobile Eighty Eight
By Wiccabeauty - October 9 - 7:00 pmI am buying this car from my mom which whom she bought from Murray Equipment TSC for 1100.00. It is a champaigne color and has 154,150. Big car but it something like the Impala and Old Luminas on the interior. I like this car a lot but would love to have my old Lumina back.

Uncomfortable Seats - 1996 Oldsmobile Eighty Eight
By GARY - September 30 - 11:10 pmOverall this is a great car, but it has terrible seats in the front. My cars driver side seat tilt is stuck with a bad motor. It is also a little hard to steer when parking. Other than that, this car has a good ride and gets good gas millage.

Update on Eighty Eigh LS - 1998 Oldsmobile Eighty Eight
By robbed718 - June 26 - 4:49 amRobbed718 back. Update on the Oldsmobile Eighty Eight I bought with 53,000 miles in March of 2010 from the old lady whom lost her vision. The car now has 77,000 miles on it. Ive had to replace a belt tensioner, tires and a sepentine belt since. Everything is still holding up good on the car, engine is still powerful and not bad on gas. (I get about 24mpg) . I think I could get 175-200K out of this baby. Im gonna plan on it!

Awesome Car - 1998 Oldsmobile Eighty Eight
By hayley - January 27 - 7:03 pmFor my first car its a good one. My grandparents had it before me and had no problems what so ever. Its fun to drive and handles well. It gets me through any kind of weather well. The only thing Ive had to replace on it was the battery. I also changed out the tape player/radio with a CD player/radio. Over all its an awesome car. I would recommend it to anyone.
