  • Very Pleased - 2003 Oldsmobile Bravada

Weve been very pleased with everything except the gas milage- were lucky to get 11 mpg in town, 19 on the highway. We call it the car for dummys because it does everything for us, including turning on the wipers when it rains! It performs really well, and is the quietest SUV around. It has more than enough power, and is fun to drive. It even does well in the snow and ice and one doesnt have to hassel with putting it into 4WD. We werent big on buying American, but with a bumper-to-bumper 5 year warrenty, we decided that this was a much better buy than essentially the same SUV from GMC or Chevy (with only a 3 year warrenty).

I have loved the ablility that my 1998 Oldsmobile Bravada has. The AWD system is awesome, in all weather, and since I live out in the country 40 miles from work, they always know I will be there. I also have pulled my husbands 1-ton pickup out several times when stuck, usually including a horse trailer or full water tank behind him! This vehicle has had its problems though. The multi-function switch is awful, (blinker, cruise, lights, wipers) if one thing breaks the whole thing has to be replaced and it is very expensive. The serpentine belt, fuel pump and water pump have been other problems. This trucks gas milage is also not very good, which is especially irritating with gas prices this high! Also, I dont like the fact that you cant put a car seat in the center back. It must be on the side.

  • Not too big, Not too small, just right - 2003 Oldsmobile Bravada

My new Bravada was purchased after driving a dozen other SUV models. The ride, room, quality and price after rebates, made the Bravada a clear choice for my needs. The ride is as good as the BMW and the acceleration is as good as the MDX. The demise of Oldsmobile possibly was a negative factor but I felt that the OLDS name will always be a positive one.

Bought the Bravada new in 1997. I service it myself with oil & filter changes every 2000 miles. Ive had no problems other than normal maintance since Ive owned the vehicle. Im at the 50,000 mile mark now with the vehicle. Ive just performed the transmission flush, recharged air conditioner, changed rear end fluid, new Monroe (Reflex) shocks, new tires all around. Looked at the tranny tube for rust as told to do. Everything was fine.

  • an olds suv? - 2004 Oldsmobile Bravada

this is a comfortable and enjoyable ride, even just crusing the town. the front end and the led rear lights give the bravada a vicious look that not many suvs have. the size is perfect for the performance i need from my truck, smaller than a tahoe but big enough to get cars to get out of your way.

I have driven three Bravadas, 1996,2001,and now 2003. I find them to be great vehicles and this 2003 drives and runs as smooth as my Cadilac.

  • Excellent vehicle - 1999 Oldsmobile Bravada

I purchased my 99 Bravada a little over four years ago. In that four years I have only had to replace the brakes and a wheel bearing. Regular maintenace, inside and out has kept this vehicle looking great! The ride is wonderful and all of the bells and whistles make it a favorite for trips.

  • A Great Bargain - 1998 Oldsmobile Bravada

Needed a 4x4 for this winter. So far weve put 2,000 miles on it, no problem. Is completely loaded, paid 6800.00 plus NJ tax for a total of 7200.00 and then did a complete tune up and oil change for 300.00. It had 106,000 miles on it. Engine is strong, tranny tight, brakes perfect. Looking for another one for my daughter.

  • whats with that trans - 1999 Oldsmobile Bravada
    By -

i have had my Bravada for about two year..i bought it used. It now has 150,000 miles. Now my service engine light is on, and the car shops are saying my transmision is going out. It has been a great car, i love it and dont want to get rid of it, but the cost to replace the tranny is way to high for the value of the car. and it also leaks oil like crazy, inbetween oil changes i have to put in a quart or two just to keep the oil level at normal.and the cup holders are bad..my cups are always sticking to the rupper and are hard to get out and they are in a really bad place when you want to put your car in park..just saying...oh and for some reason my 4wd doesnt work?
