Glad to still be alive - 2000 Oldsmobile Bravada
By Sam - January 26 - 6:23 amI owned this car for one year, lost brakes and ended in a ditch. The car had 70000 miles only. Checked the car. The frame was corroded. Factory undercoating was ridiculous and was not existing anymore (thinner than onion skin). The brake lines were badly corroded, and broken under the rear, driver side door, over the frame and below the cabin. Totaled the car.

Excellent Ride - 2002 Oldsmobile Bravada

The luxuries and comforts make long drives less of a burden and with all of its cargo space packing for 5 adults is easy. Any complaints about the off road ability are ridiculous as the company never claims to compete with off-road S.U.V.s. However, I have found that my Bravada is more than capable off road and has been the savior of more rugged trucks on our adventures. It is a perfect balance on the luxury vs. Sport- ute scale. I loved it so much I just bought my second Bravada for my wife.

Reliability of Bravada QUESTIONABLE? - 1999 Oldsmobile Bravada
By bohemian007 - December 25 - 10:00 amOverall my impression of my Bravda is that it is comforatable and My biggest problems have been maintenance. There is a known shudder problem with the steering. A dealer can drain and refil the transfer case for $200.00 to remedy this reacurring problem. The breaks wear out premeaturly. I have replaced all of the rotars twice now. I have replaced the wheel bearings twice. I replaced the climate control computer for $400.00 and the fuel pump for $700.00. I must add that I currently have over 130,000 miles. Some of these items are wear and tear but I would say the Bravada has above average maintanance costs.

Best Rounded Luxo SUV - 2002 Oldsmobile Bravada
By cmack4 - December 24 - 10:10 pmI did a full round search of all of the brands, and surprisingly enough the Olds was the most appealing in nearly every category. It had the most powerful powertrain of any vehicle in its class, including the V8s, not to mention the better gas mileage of an inline 6. Ride quality is superb on the air-ride rear suspension and Bilstein Shocks. The leather seating is superb, and yes even compared to its foreign counterparts.

What a mistake - 1999 Oldsmobile Bravada
By Why oh why did I buy - December 11 - 1:00 pmThis vehicle represents the worst decision of my life. The Bravada rides bone-jarringly stiff, and cant handle rural Illinois roads. I thought it was just bad shocks, so I put on expensive ones. No improvement. Tried replacing bushings, ball joints, tires - nothing. The Bravada is just plain dangerous on bumpy, crowned rural highways. On a smooth, level highway, it tracked funny, hunting from side to side. Several mechanics claimed that the vehicle was fine... After three months of white knuckle driving, hanging on to the wheel for dear life at 40 mph, I gave up and sold the thing. Good riddance. A full size 4x4 gets the same horrible MPG, but can actually hold the road and tow something!

a lot of recalls - 2003 Oldsmobile Bravada
By rdaaj - December 6 - 10:00 amthe car has alot of recalls and alot of prolems like shutteing and door paneling on the interior rubber and noise through the side driver door never gone away even after being repaired and the tranmission stuck and wont shift bravada 2002 awheel dr goodman is a great place excellent service free car rentals all the time great dealer ship thank you

75,000 miles and still enjoy it! - 2002 Oldsmobile Bravada
By Scott - November 1 - 11:00 pmBought it new and 5 years and 75,000 miles without any major problems. I tow a small boat, haul items and often flip down the rear seats. Use it as a comfortable ride when out on the town with friends. Very comfortable.

Call me unpredicatble - 2004 Oldsmobile Bravada
By DJCDVP - October 12 - 2:00 amI actually bought the vehicle in June of 02 and sold it in October of 03. It has a quirky problem, if the operator does a certain combination of movements with the key in the ignition it will trigger the theft deterrent system and leave you sitting there. It happened to me three times, three times I had to have it towed, and three times Onstar couldnt figure out what it was. I spoke to someone who had the same problem with the GMC Envoy.
