Not a bad college car - 1998 Oldsmobile Bravada
By collegebravada - July 1 - 10:00 amI feel safe driving the bravada with the awd. I have never lost control, even when i had a blowout on the interstate going 75. The only problems I have had are the plastic levers on the passenger seat has broken and the battery was bad and leaked acid.

Bought new now at 158,000 - 1999 Oldsmobile Bravada
By jon_ledeaux - June 28 - 7:07 pmThe leather seats are luxurious and the stereo just plain rocks! The V6 and auto with overdrive deliver plenty of get up and go, the automatic AWD is great since we live in the mountains and winter always delivers ice and snow. The handling is rock solid. The ABS system has saved at least one life, an idiot had spun out and was walking in the oncoming traffic lane in a blind curve, I couldnt have missed him, I sounded my horn and he froze like a deer in the headlights, the ABS stopped 15 feet short of [violative content deleted].

Great For Mountain Use - 2000 Oldsmobile Bravada
By ABQ-NM - June 23 - 1:00 amGot a good used price on this luxury SUV when we needed something tuff for mountains. The parts man laughed when I tried to get skid plates for under carriage protection. Short wheel base makes for stiff ride in town, but it makes mountain trails ride like a cloud. SmartTrak has been very nice both on slick city streets and mountain paths. At 50,000 miles the AWD selector(?) motor failed & cost over $1,200 to replace. SmartTrack definately did not work without it. Poor mileage (16 city- 21 Hwy) is expensive for relatively small passanger capacity (4.6 adults). Great luxury features in solid vehicle. Too bad Olds stopped production.

SUV of your Dreams! - 1999 Oldsmobile Bravada
By DragonStorm - June 18 - 2:00 amI loved my 93 so much that I went out and traded it in for a newer one. This truck has it all: leather, console shift, DEPENDABLE SmartTrack system (57,000 and not a problem yet), awesome sound system, wood trim, the list goes on.

Bravada, Edsel and Me - 1997 Oldsmobile Bravada
By proofed - June 16 - 9:33 amBack again, To all of you that wrote those glowing reviews, I salute you and your luck. I do believe you are living in denial, however but that is my opinion. I have to tell the truth, yes, it is a beautiful car with luxury appointments etc and was wonderful for the two weeks that I didn;t have to work on it. It shines like a new penny, the leather is soft, but if it sits in your drive looking pretty, it is like a trophy wife who chooses to sleep on the couch. As I type, I have spent another night tracing ground faults, bad parts, and now suspect the keyremote unit for some of this. I already had it to the eletrician for a week and $500, who fixed only the low voltage standard for the engine

I love my Bravada!! - 2002 Oldsmobile Bravada
By J.N. - June 13 - 10:00 amThis is our first SUV. I was hesitant because I expected it to ride like a truck. It rides better than a car! Such a smooth, quiet ride. I feel so comfy in the soft leather seats. My co- workers always ask me to drive when we go to lunch because they love it too!

Bravada, our generations EDSEL! - 1997 Oldsmobile Bravada
By proofed - May 19 - 4:03 amHI all, I am "mad as hell and I am not going to take ti anymore". Mostly at myself for buying what was meant to be a practical purpose, but the shine and the bells and the whistles sucked me in.To keep it as brief as possible, I bought this car as I needed a vehicle that could tow a boat and a small trailer. It fit the bill perfectly and I traded my SW2 Saturn Wagon, a good car, for this nightmare on elm street. I have been able to use it twice in two years to camp and to boat, a short trip. Overheating was # 1, Bad gas #2, complete cat replacement with 6 oxy sens #3,a 300 spider fuel injection unit #4,batt drain, as the genius who designed the switch made it too easy to leave on,more...

I love my Bravada - 2002 Oldsmobile Bravada
By CP - May 10 - 5:56 pmNew off the lot, thought i needed a new one until i started looking, the new 2009 SUVs are trash compared to my truck, apart from normal service, air con swith has gone twice, annoying in houston heat, the truck has cost nothingComfort of. But thats it. I have averaged 19.6 mpg and i drive stop and go commute. i love my silver girl.
