  • Good, Reliable Vehicle - 2002 Oldsmobile Bravada

I like this vehicle, Im not a major SUV fan, but this one tops my chart. I have had some common issues; the front bumper does seem loose, and this is actually normal, due to the mounting design. The electric radiator fan clutch can stick, you can notice it, once it starts, and it will continue to stick and needs replacement.I had to replace suspension air springs (easy job) Cracked exhaust header, cover by warranty.Recall on lower control arms and air pump wire harness (GET THESE FIXED! change ball joints @ same time) Currently 90K miles bought new at 40k.Look out for transfer case issues on 4WD.Have had some road noise due to the front window upper door seals and positive inside pressure.

  • Missing My Bravada! - 1999 Oldsmobile Bravada

My Bravada was a 1999. I bought it in 2003 and just sold it with only 125,000 miles on it. Now, I wish I wouldve held onto it. But, we have two other vehicles to drive, and one had to be sold. My 1999 Bravada was the best. I must have loaded over 1,000 bags of groceries, and 800 bags of soil and mulch over the years. Transported furniture and plants, and never had one problem. Loved the heated seats and AWD, especially here in Minnesota with our rough winters. When I bought the car it only had 27,000 miles on it. Loved the sunroof and leather seats. Great car. Wish they still made them. Miss "Oldsmobile".

  • I would buy it again! - 1999 Oldsmobile Bravada

Bought my Oldsmobile Bravada used about 6 months ago and havent had a single problem yet. Im a truck and SUV man with experience in various makes and models. I like the Expeditions more, but the Bravadas rank right up there with them. Its a small SUV with a smaller engine but plenty of power and great fuel economy (for an SUV - 19mpg). Excellent smooth quiet ride and good handling. Luxury interior with all the extras and no rattles, solid. Nothing bad to say. Looks like a Blazer but it is nothing like it, its much better.

I have the AWD with full package. The car handles great, no problems with snow or rain, its comfortable. Size is good, gas mileage could improve (14 around town, 19 on highway trips). The computer has worked fluidly, it has too many features to list. The seats fold into several useful positions and there is good room in back. My husband is 67 and fits with no complaints Its not a common car compared to the counter parts (Trailblazer and Envoy), it gets all kinds of looks and compliments. If Olds wasnt discontinuing their line, Id get another one.

  • This truck sucks - 1997 Oldsmobile Bravada

The transmission went out the first year we owned it. Everytime we take this vehicle in for servicing it is $500 plus! It never has run right and the dealer seems to have no clue re how to fix it. It only has a little over 60k miles and weve replaced the alternator, A/C compressor, transfer case, etc. The air bag light never goes off (indicating a malfunction that nobody can seem to find), speakers go off for no known reason. I dont know how well ever get rid of this POS unless we find someone who will push it off the side a cliff and we can collect some insurance $. We wouldnt have another GM product if given to us.

  • Not just another Trailblazer - 2003 Oldsmobile Bravada

I will forever miss the Ninety-Eight, Rocket 455, Bravada and the Olds empire entirely. This is an underrated SUV that rarely gets mention as a result of its relatives from Chevy and GMC. Youll never ever mistake this for a Trailblazer if youve driven them both. A luxury AWD SUV that fits the wallet nicely. Despite claims, resale values remain superior to its brothers.

  • Pass It Up - 2000 Oldsmobile Bravada

Definitely purchase an extended warranty if you get this car(luckily I did)! At 66,000 miles, I have made over $7,000 in repairs. The SmartTrak 4WD first didnt engage when needed, then always engaged. I also had the crankcase replaced, U joints, electrical problems, body problems (door hinges all became loose!) My 2002 Dodge Neon did much better in light snow that this! Never risk this purchase.

  • Good bang for the buck - 1997 Oldsmobile Bravada

Bought it in 1998 with 16K miles. Transmission went out at 40K. Luckily, with a lot of complaining, GM put a new one in for free (kudos GM). It now has 104K and Ive replaced break pads, belt tensioner and the water pump. After the tranny, it wasnt too bad. I like the way it drives. Its great in the snow. Cant say I would buy another one because the reliability is suspect but I enjoy mine now. Plan on driving it till it dies. Everything is working great now...knock on wood.

I have enjoyed my Bravada since the day I bought it. I bought it with 23000 miles approximately and it now has 60000 miles on it 6 years later. I love this car.
