This Year's Model Updates:

This Nissan Versa is an all-new vehicle for 2007. This affordable subcompact makes a name for itself with a roomy interior and many standard and optional features. A hatchback body style debuts first, with a sedan coming out later in the year.

Pros:
  • Large interior with simple but attractive control layout, solid quality cabin materials, wide selection of features, comfortable rear seat.
Cons:
  • Noisy powertrain at high revs, vague steering, less than athletic handling and braking, more expensive than competing models.

I bought a new car and after 18 month a start hearing noisy inside of my car, transmission goes very noisy until RPMs goes down, service check engine light comes on very offter, sendos replaced, tire blow up, transmission goes 20m/p then went up without pressing excelator almost, horn went down after 2 years. I had issue with transmission but technician was not be able to find the issue plus charge me $95 for diagnostic and next month the transmission is went down.

  • Best car I ever owned - 2007 Nissan Versa

My son, who owned a GM car that always ends up in a garage, would always borrow my car when his is not available. He said my Versa drives like a go-cart! He said the comments a compliment--meaning the car handles the road very well, even when turning tight corners. I have to agree that this car handles the road well. Thats just one of the great things about this car. It also saves gas, comfortable and the visibility inside while driving is just so great! Ever since I got it, the only thing that has been change were filters and oil. Probably,I have to change brake pads according to the manual. Ill definitely going to buy another one when the time comes.

  • I love my Versa more every day! - 2007 Nissan Versa

I bought mine preowned with 9500 miles, and have put 10K more miles on it. I looked at the Yaris, Matrix, Fit, Corolla, xD and Mazda 3, and the Versa hit the sweet spot for features and price. The Fit had a cheap-looking interior, the Yaris had that dashboard in the center (yuck!) and the others cost more or got poorer mileage. As others have said, the comfort, leg room, options, gas mileage and overall solidity of the car is awesome. If youre thinking of a Versa, get the SL. The Intellikey, CVT, additional storage and upgrades are absolutely worth it. The ride is so quiet and smooth that Ive thought I was going 60 when I was really going 80! Lead feet beware.

  • Bad transmission - 2007 Nissan Versa

I initially loved my Versa. I soon found that the quoted mpg was not as quoted, no surprise there. I drive all highway miles to and from work. After I purchased my Versa,I was sent an extended warranty for my transmission which expired at 120,000. This should have been the first clue that there must be a problem with the transmission. Now at 128,000 miles, my transmission starting making loud humming sounds, the car at one point almost wouldnt go in traffic, but once it got past 20 or 30 mph it ran normally. No fluid was leaking and its pretty much a closed system. They didnt take much time to check it out but were very quick to give me a price on a new transmission of $2800.

  • So far so good - 2007 Nissan Versa

I really enjoy this car. I upgraded from a 2004 Sentra, and the Versa has been a vast improvement. There is plenty of room for people and cargo, the CVT is smooth, and driving is more comfortable. The safety features are unbelievable and the gas economy is ok. I havent been getting advertised economy, but its still pretty good. All and all I am very happy with the switch.

  • Great lil car! - 2007 Nissan Versa

This car is great! Looks small on the outside but very roomy on the inside! I traded in a ford taurus for this car and feel i got the better deal. Gas per week is $60-$80 less and I drive a lot. I live in NYC where parking is hard to get... this car fits everywhere!

  • At 38,000 miles - 2007 Nissan Versa

Purchased the SL CVT in Nov. 2007 and no problems except one wheel leaking air requiring weekly fill up. Tire sensor lets me know when to fill, but dealer cannot find or fix wheel leak. Totally reliable, no other fixes so far. Everything holding up well and no rattles yet. Car is garaged and kept clean in and out. Northwest weather is mild on vehicles. Tried Fit Corolla Civic and Scion but purchased Versa for smooth quiet ride and large passenger space. The Hondas were a better drivers car but too noisy and rougher riding. Mileage has averaged 30.2 to date. Suburban driving: 29mpg, High speed 70+ Hiway = only around 30 mpg. Worst city driving mileage was 26 mpg. Quiet at idle and hiway

  • Best vehicle in this class, hands down! - 2007 Nissan Versa

I looked at the Fit, Yaris, Scion and the Versa. As a huge Honda fan, I was leaning toward the Fit. That was, until the Versa was released! After one drive it was no question which car I wanted! Very high quality textured plastics and fabrics, excellent fit and finish, and a more upscale look than the others made the Versa purchase and easy decision! Even the power of the engine and the CVT make it so that I dont miss the V6 of my Accord!

  • A great little car - 2007 Nissan Versa

Probably the best small car I have ever owned - and in my 80+ years I have owned a lot. Its fun to drive, as evidenced by the fact that I have driven it 5000 miles in 4 months. Rides well, handles well, lots of extras for its price. I cant say enough good things about it.
