This Year's Model Updates:

This Nissan Versa is an all-new vehicle for 2007. This affordable subcompact makes a name for itself with a roomy interior and many standard and optional features. A hatchback body style debuts first, with a sedan coming out later in the year.

Pros:
  • Large interior with simple but attractive control layout, solid quality cabin materials, wide selection of features, comfortable rear seat.
Cons:
  • Noisy powertrain at high revs, vague steering, less than athletic handling and braking, more expensive than competing models.

  • The cream of the small car crop! - 2007 Nissan Versa

This is by far the best of the small cars out there, unless youre an early 20-something boy racer (you need a Fit). Its longish wheelbase and suspension tuning means a GREAT ride around town, including over non-spinal-injuring bumps! Its really remarkable. The Fit gets all the kudos for handling, but the Versa is nimble with an insanely small turning radius. Tossable, but rides like a grown-up car. An interior for grown-ups as well, with fantastic fit-and-finish and a logical, high quality dash.

Checked it out at the Motor Trend Intl Auto Show and its everything everyone is raving about. My friend, (near 6ft. and is a researcher by trade) fits comfortably on the rear seat with extra knee/leg room--even with the front seats all the way back. So I picked one up at the local dealer today to use as an economical commuter (for work) next to my Chrysler 300C and Porsche 911. It shifts smoothly and lightly. I like the idea that no matter what my gas mileage is, it wont be as painful at the pump. The drivers view of the road is more than I can say for most cars I have driven. My family has owned several Datsun and Nissan vehicles were all dependable and mechanically sound.

I really like this car. I drove a similar, but smaller model in Spain and was thrilled to see that Nissan was putting out a subcompact in the USA. I was looking for a car that rode a little higher than the average sedan, but still got good gas mileage, and didnt cost too much. I got all those things in the Versa, and I havent been disappointed in any of its quirks (e.g. audible shifting noises, loose handling, flimsy velcro attachment for the hatch cover). Plus, I love the upholstery (microfibery), the tire pressure monitoring system, the touch- sensitive hatch lifter, and the interior room with an adorable, easy to park exterior.

I was looking for great commuting car and i test drove versa and right away i orderd this car, i got 1800 miles on it right now and i love driving this car because its drive like a midsize car and with SL package you cant go wrong , which has bluetooth and inteligent key get you in and out and even you can start your car without taking your key out from the pocket, 36 miles per gallon with CVT transmission, this is a overall better car than Honda Fit and Toyota Yaris.

Coming from an 02 Ford Explorer, my concept of spacious is a little warped. But my Versa is BIG inside! The rear storage under the hatch is deceiving - it looks small but is very deep. It handles great, and everything seems really solid. Interior design is a little funky, and the comfy front seats (the dealer tells me that theyre Maxima seats) leave not so much room for good cup holders or useful console. So what? Ill get used to it. Great door buckets/pockets, even in the back seat. Ive driven over 800 miles in a little over a week and have been running the A/C pretty much non-stop. Averaging ~32 MPG on the first 3 fillups.

  • Great first new car to own - 2007 Nissan Versa

First time new car buyer, very comfortable interior, lots of space, cubby holes for everything (Im bound to lose something!). Its a peppy little thing, fun to drive, smooth ride, but the electronic power steering is something to get used to. Engine gets whiny at higher RPMs and highway speeds, but it is not built for power. Havent had any problems yet (knock on wood) after two months.

  • Much Better than I thought it would be - 2007 Nissan Versa

As an elderly peson I needed something to get around in and travel once in a while. I live a rural area and go into the city once or twice a day, traveling about 25 to 30 miles each day. I am totally surprised at this car, small but roomy inside, quiet inside, easy to handle. I drove it from the larger city to my home which was 57miles and it was difficult to keep it under 80 miles per hour it was so easy running. It has the CVT tranny and I really like that. Although it has been driven only about 100 miles, the fuel gauge remains more than 3/4 so it appears economy is going to be good. At this point would sell it back for my money plus profit. If it holds up mechanically, will be OK.

  • A very good car - 2007 Nissan Versa

I bought this car last year. After one year, I can say that Im very very satisfying. Handling is good, even on snow, comfort excellent and gas mileage good too. I just replaced the air filter 3 days ago and the fuel economy is much better. The Versa is the best car I had in my life.

I have had the versa for 45 days. I love the way it drives its so quite and I love the cvt transmission. Traded my Honda Pilot to save money dont miss it much the Versa is a great car I would recommend it to anyone. So far Im getting 28-29 mpg combined city & HWY, not as good as I expected but it only has 500 miles maybe it will get better mileage once its broken in. The keyless entry and bluetooth are worth the extra money. Great Car and very economical.

  • Love my Versa - 2007 Nissan Versa

In 2006, after much research, I was happy to decide on the Versa. I am tall and plus sized, the Versa is very spacious. The mileage seems to be the same as my previous Sentra. I did have problems with the vehicle. First there was a recall on the wiper arm (or in that area). Nissa didnt informed me. I found out about it online. Secondly, whenever I turned on the air conditioner, and turned off the car, there were problems when I tried to restart the car. The car wouldnt turn over. It took two years to finally repair. The fuel line had to be replaced. I too kept losing the hubcap. I lost two. Ive never had that problem with any other vehicle.
