Overview & Reviews
The 2009 Nissan Versa sedan is now available in value-leading 1.6 Base and 1.6 models powered by a new 1.6-liter four-cylinder engine.
- Good fuel economy, roomy interior with an adult-friendly backseat, comfortable ride, soft-touch interior surfaces, available Bluetooth.
- ABS inexplicably optional, flaccid handling, inconsistent build quality, ironically not as versatile as Honda Fit.

Love my Versa!!! - 2009 Nissan Versa
By Blanca Castello - May 25 - 2:51 amThe only bad thing is that it only has one car charger. Having phone charger, GPS charger or other people in the car it makes it tough.

Excellence in function and design - 2009 Nissan Versa
By dchrisj - January 9 - 6:36 amWith 195 total miles on car when purchased, took a 139 mile trip, with mostly freeway speeds of 75 mph. Totally surprised with first tank of gas at 37.3 mpg! Interior design is spacious and well thought out. Instrumentation is well designed and readable, however, like every Nissan Ive owned (Pathfinder, XTerra, and Titan) light and visibility in bright daylight is not on a par with the rest of the interior design. Although readable, it is only just. Fabric on seats with SL option is great - very comfortable and appears to be durable. Bluetooth was a total surprise. I never thought I would use it. But after a very few minutes of setting up, found it to be intuitive and fun.

best buy in the market - 2009 Nissan Versa
By 8995.00 - November 20 - 9:06 pmThis is an unbelievable value. quiet, smooth shifting, comfortable, economic and tight little car. I purchased it to keep the miles off my diesel truck, but my daughter liked it so much she kept it for her graduation gift. No problems, no repairs. I guess I will have to purchase another one for me.

Not a Cadillac, but who cares - 2009 Nissan Versa
By Karen - November 20 - 10:50 amI came to own this car after my second used car died on me and felt that it was time to get a car with a dealers warranty, and Nissans bumper to bumper warranty caught my attention, and then the Versa Ive read reviews where people have not exactly found this car to be particularly sporty, however, I must say I disagree. With the trend in cars that are on the road going to cars designed like the Versa, Honda Fit, and Toyota Yaris, the Versa is a winner. The design I feel is more classy than it is modern or trendy. The tapered design is nice and economic and it most certainly is a comfortable ride. The space is a major plus, I never thought a small car would have this much room.

I always love Nissans - 2009 Nissan Versa
By danblackracing - November 14 - 8:06 pmThis is my first "new" car. I have always bought older custom datsuns and other sports cars so my review may be different. I bought a 09 versa base for the rain and winter, but wound up putting custom rims and a few other goodies on it. Being nissans official rally racing car you can feel the agility. Great performance for 9990. I know, I drive fast cars. I didnt expect this versa to handle this well out of the box. It has the usual chinsey plastic inside for a low cost Nissan but otherwise great car. Amazing room. Fun to drive. Great on gas.

I love my versa - 2009 Nissan Versa
By Lisa - June 6 - 3:33 amI just love my versa. What a fun car to drive. Averaging 26mpg - less than advertised 40mpg - but still am satisfied. Very comfortable, even on long trips. Ample room in the trunk area - and Im always loading it up with Costco bulk purchases! Two repair problems so far and Im still under 2000 miles. Driver door lock would not unlock manually, and I needed a new fuel pump after experiencing difficulty starting the vehicle. Ive read on a number of forums that this is a problem for many, however Nissan has not issued a recall, just a service bulletin. Despite this, I just love the car and would recommend it to anyone.

Smiles from Everyone - 2009 Nissan Versa
By Scott - May 18 - 3:20 amMy wife loves the fact that when she drives around in her Versa, everyone looks at her and smiles. Its not a common car around here, but she picked it out because she thought it was the cutest. Inside it feels like a larger car. We got a sunroof (the only car in its class that had one as an option) and like the way it handles. CVT is smooth with lots of power and pep! With only 500 miles on the engine, got 32 MPG on highway, 27 MPG on Vermont back roads.

Great Little Car! - 2009 Nissan Versa
By TIMBEDET - April 28 - 12:46 pmThe Versa has better acceleration than I anticipated, and does great both in traffic and on the highway. The engine is extremely quiet and does sound labored at all. Nissan did a great job ensuring the driver has great vision and awareness of surroundings. If you live in the city and have to parallel park, you are going to be in heaven with this car. I find this car to be quite comfortable to drive, much more so than the FIT. The standard sound system provides a clean, crisp, full sound that I am very happy with.
