This Year's Model Updates:

This Nissan Versa is an all-new vehicle for 2007. This affordable subcompact makes a name for itself with a roomy interior and many standard and optional features. A hatchback body style debuts first, with a sedan coming out later in the year.

Pros:
  • Large interior with simple but attractive control layout, solid quality cabin materials, wide selection of features, comfortable rear seat.
Cons:
  • Noisy powertrain at high revs, vague steering, less than athletic handling and braking, more expensive than competing models.

  • So far so good - 2007 Nissan Versa

Id have to say that over all, its a pretty solid little car. Good interior space for the segment, especially the back seat. I got the 6 speed manual and boy does it require a lot of shifting. Im in 6th by 45 mph. The fuel mileage hasnt been what I had hoped for at about 29 mpg with a mostly highway commute. Maybe it will get better with the engine completely broken in.

  • Pretty good car - 2007 Nissan Versa

Lease since Sept 2007. Car is good, roomy enough, no arm rest which was terrible, had to buy one online. No power at all though, put foot completely down on pedal with the AC on, has no pickup at all. Must be careful passing people, make sure you have 50 free car lengths before you do. But car is dependable so far, stereo ok, look is cute, rides good.

  • mostly pleased, but... - 2007 Nissan Versa

Being my first ever new car (Im 34) I did not know what to expect, overall I have been very pleased, with one caveat. The interior is really quite great. The fabric and materials are very good. The audio (standard package for the SL) is nice, it wont blow you away but it sounds very good. The ride is generally very quiet. The Sound Sensitive Audio is a great feature as is the Bluetooth and keyless entry/ignition. The phone mike needs to be more sensitive to pick up my voice. The keyless ignition and entry took some getting used to but it is well worth the bucks. My big complaint is mileage, sticker says 30/34. After 2500 miles and a dealer check up I get 22/26, sub-par for a car of this size

  • Good In small wagons segment - 2007 Nissan Versa

Have had the Versa SL for almost a month and am loving it. The CVT transmission is super smooth. The just checked MPG was almost 30. The seats are comfortable and the interior is well finished. The interior is midsize roomy with lots of leg and head room. The convenience package makes a nice ...

  • A good car at a great price - 2007 Nissan Versa
    By -

I bought the Versa from the original owner and it now has 84,000 miles on it. All in all it was a great buy. You cant beat the price of the Versa. Since I have a bad back it was hard to find a car with a seat that was super comfortable besides my friends Volvo, but obviously I couldnt afford that and the Versa is the only other car that gives me complete pain relief. Has more interior room than my dads Acura TSX. Gas mileage is great, but the gas tank is small so dont let the gas gauge fool you. Some negatives are the acceleration and has lots of body roll. The thing I hate the most is not having a middle armrest. Cup holders are awkward. Cruise control isnt standard. No trunk button

Only 2 complaints. Car has no pickup when using the AC, and the shift from 1st to 2nd feels like a manual tranny even though its an automatic. Other than that its a great car.

  • From a Buick to a Versa - 2007 Nissan Versa
    By -

I traded an 03 Buick Century for the Versa and I dont feel that Ive given up much in the way of comfort. I am a young 64 years old and I enjoy the way the car handles. The ride is surprisingly smooth and quiet and the build quality is excellent. My only disappointment so far is the gas mileage. I have only used one tank, but my combined city-highway mileage was 25.5 mpg. Hopefully this will improve a bit. All in all though, I am very happy with this car.

  • Fun car... gas mileage stinks!! - 2007 Nissan Versa

The car is just outright a fun car. I love the bluetooth capabilities considering the phone is my life. I especially love the CVT. It makes the car less noisy and its a smooth ride for the most part. I have not had the car for long but I am beginning to think the car doesnt really get 36 MPG. I am averaging about 28-31 MPG on the highway. The car tends to be a smooth ride with an occasional drifting. Not sure what that is about. I feel my 1999 Grand Am with over 200,000 still gets better gas mileage.

  • Great First Car - 2007 Nissan Versa
    By -

Bought this car for my high school-aged daughter in July 2007. It is approaching four years old and she has put only 25K miles on it. It has held up well to her abuse. The first year, she blew two tires running into curbs, bent one rim, and backed into another car at the grocery store. We did have problems losing hubcaps. After replacing two and losing two more, I decided to invest in a set of alloy wheels. Well worth the $350 investment not having to worry about those hubcaps anymore. Considering all this, the car has been to the dealer only for normal maintenance (except for the visit to the body shop). Although, the last few months, Ive noticed the white paint is starting to yellow.
