This Year's Model Updates:

This Nissan Versa is an all-new vehicle for 2007. This affordable subcompact makes a name for itself with a roomy interior and many standard and optional features. A hatchback body style debuts first, with a sedan coming out later in the year.

Pros:
  • Large interior with simple but attractive control layout, solid quality cabin materials, wide selection of features, comfortable rear seat.
Cons:
  • Noisy powertrain at high revs, vague steering, less than athletic handling and braking, more expensive than competing models.

Theres only one thing that I can say that can sum this car up. - It is the best car you will ever buy for the money. Period. Ive driven the Honda Fit, Scion xA and xB, Corolla, vibe, Matrix, and Yaris. None compared. Its comfortable, fun to drive, useful, and sporty. Drive it yourself and take nobody elses opinion. ENJOY!

Tested Fit, Yaris, Scion. none had the power or room that the Versa has. Took it on a 600 mile trip right after getting it and it was as comfortable as cars much bigger. 6 speed is tight and quick. So far so good.

  • Lovin It! - 2007 Nissan Versa

Love this car. Havent broken in the engine yet (they say 1500 miles) and my gas mileage is a pretty good, 31 mpg with mixed driving. With gas prices today, this is a bargain. The features you get on this "entry level" car are unmatched. It kills the Fit by comparison. Only wish ABS was standard and I could get a sunroof without upgrading my audio system and adding 1800 to the price.

My little SL has all I wanted and more. Doesnt get what the original sticker stated for gas mileage, but the govt cracked down on "truth in mileage" and she fits that to a T. Worst mileage was 27 and that was my fault, driving like a madwoman on a mission. Usually gets around 30mpg, depending on what my load is and how heavy my foot is. Has some annoying squeaks sometimes, like the center console or sunroof, but not always. Type of road? We live in a rural area. Had to re-learn how to handle a small car again, w/o turning into ditches. Great handling! Great CD and changer! Probably great Bluetooth, dont use it. Comfortable! Put my rear in multiple other small cars. She had the best seats!

I was hoping for 36 mpg, but I consistently get 33-34. I cant complain. The defroster leaves something to be desired and the air conditioning doesnt cool the back seats well. Otherwise; it is fun to drive, peppy, easy on the eyes both inside and out,and good in the snow. When this car wears out I will get another.

I absolutely love this car! I owned a Honda civic ex prior to this car, and it served me well, but I felt it time to change to something that sits higher. Now on to the cool stuff - very impressed with the interior space, as were my 63" friends! - drove 18 days on one tank of gas (just under 400 miles) and despite some high winds last weekend, I felt secure on the road. The blue tooth, keyless entry is a big plus -

  • Amazing Car - 2007 Nissan Versa

My wife and I live on Cape Cod, but travel for business... I had a Versa on order, but after a delay we found a loaded Versa out of state. It has the CVT, bluetooth, XM, sunroof etc. My first drive in the car was a 4 1/2 hour trip home... I am very impressed to say the least. Lots of room, very comfortable, stylish, smooth and I got 32 mpg on the way home... in bumper to bumper traffic (and its not even close to being broken in!) I went from a full sized car to the Versa & I couldnt be more pleased. This is an amazing car!

2007 Versa 1.8SL is good value for the money. I rated all 9s on survey but reserving final rating until I have driven 3k miles. Compared Civic and the Yaris. We didnt like the base model and the upgrade to SL gave us the power features and the sweet CVT transmission. Felt weird at first driving the new transmission (no winding of the transmission gears) but I like it now. I had my first 126 mile road trip yesterday and it was even better on the highway. Safety features are really nice with all the airbags and antilock breaks. Car lines are good and backseat has plenty of leg room for an adult. The 6 CD stereo sounds excellent with nice button layout. Handling and ride is above average

I fell in love with this vechile as soon as I test drove it. Its just fun to drive. Its roomy and handles well. Very responsive steering, good braking. Bluetooth seems to work well. Too soon to know for sure what the gas mileage will be.
