Overview & Reviews
A stabilizer bar is now standard on the GLE model while new titanium-colored accents have been added to the 16-inch SE and 15-inch GXE alloy wheels. The SE gets auto on/off headlights and all Quests now come with a video entertainment system at no extra cost.
- Plenty of features and gadgets, versatile interior, solid handling.
- Needs more power, needs more interior space, poor crash test scores.

2000 Quest a good vehicle - 2000 Nissan Quest
By beamingup - May 23 - 9:13 amFor a van, this is an economical and reliable model (much better than the Ford Windstar I owned previously). No major repairs required, just tires, oil changes, transmission fluid change. It has recently become noisier (air leaks, rattles, body integrity issues - NOT the engine - it is fine). Seats are not as comfortable as other vans - could use a little more support and/or padding, as well a little more leg room for rear passangers.

problems after 75000 miles - 2000 Nissan Quest
By wik - May 12 - 10:16 pmwe had minor problems after purchase and during warranty such as replace vcr unit twice and driver window motor replaced, all covered by warranty but makes you wonder what else will go wrong. Our dealer service was great. We got the extended warranty at 75000 miles. At 77,000 the front end had major problems such as axle and tie rods etc all not covered. Now we are told it will need about anoth $1000 in repairs. We are thinking of trading it in. I expected better from a Japanese car when we bought it new. It was cheaper then the honda and toyota and now I know why.

Hmmmmm...lets wait and see - 2000 Nissan Quest
By Vanmom - May 21 - 10:00 amNow that we are coming up on 30K I am surprised about all the little things we have had to deal with. The entertainment system has been replaced and looks like it will need it again. We have needed to replace 2 cup holders and other latches, etc. Also, I consistently get 15-18 mpg (that is worse than my 94 Plymouth Grand Voyager got!). For the $24,000 price tag, I have expected more. So, well wait and see. We havent had any trouble yet with engine, etc.

Been a great one for me - 2000 Nissan Quest
By kad - June 13 - 10:00 amThis mini van has been excellant for us. Bought brand spanking new in 2000 and have about 55K on it now. It is fully loaded and everything still works. Have only done regular maintenance. Gas mileage might could be better. I have had a blast driving it. Ultimate "MOM" mobile. Removable middle seat captain chairs with a rear seat that can be moved right up in front to haul lots of stuff.

Great Van for the dollar - 2000 Nissan Quest
By Bob Zabinski - January 3 - 10:00 amMy 2000 Quest is used for going to and from work, vacations and hauling musical equipment. This van has served me well with absolutely nothing breaking on the thing. It has never seen a repair shop and, after 52ooo miles, still runs great. There are no rattles, squeeks or wind noises. It has never been the most quiet vehicle Ive ever owned but since I am the primary driver, I dont really mind.

Good - 2000 Nissan Quest
By okiedokie - February 6 - 9:53 amVan has been very economical and useful. No major problems mechanically. Recalled for accelerator sticking problems. Fixed but sticking again. Safety in question. Paint job was terrible. Had it 4 months and had pits all over it down to metal. Garage kept and in town, on NO dirt or gravel roads. Nissan said "Bugs" must have done it. Would not repaint it. Warranty wouldnt cover it. Still driving it with pits in the paint! Has 58,000 miles now and still runs good. Changed oil and tires and thats it. twenty six miles per gallon highway miles. GREAT on mileage.
