This Year's Model Updates:

The 2009 Nissan 370Z sports coupe is an all-new replacement for the outgoing 350Z. Highlights include a larger and more powerful engine, nimbler handling and a higher-quality interior.

Pros:
  • Responsive and powerful V6, tenacious cornering grip, nifty rev-matching manual transmission, supple highway ride, good driving position, relatively low price.
Cons:
  • Massive blind spots, nighttime instrument reflections, V6 gets a bit coarse at high rpm.

  • 370 Z a"Winner" - 2009 Nissan 370Z

I traded in my 2005 BMW 330CI with the sport pkg and sequential manual tranny. It was a quality vehicle and fun to drive. I test drove the 370 Z and felt it was more me than the BMW. It looks great, (turns heads)has rapid acceleration, shifts easily, and corners like it is on rails. I,m 511" and weigh 170. The seats are comfy, head room is ample and leg room is good. I now have over 1200 miles on the car (mfrs break in period)and engine and tranny feel much better. I live in East Texas and the temp has been in the mid 90s and low 100s since Ive had the Z. 240 degrees is the highest the engine oil has gotten. The Z engine is noisy but seems quieter as it breaks in.

I drove my 1986 300ZX until 2005 and sold it for a great price even then. In the 370, it took a bit to get used to such tight steering and a great spring in the clutch. Another feature not to be forgotten is a very effective breaking system - press gently. I drove the car very carefully for 2 or 3 days. Now, I am taking curves at speeds that would tear a sedan off the road. This car sticks. I have a great feel for it. Still glad I took time to break things in gently. I have put 700 miles on so far. And summer awaits!

When I bought my 370 I really thought I was buying quality, boy was that wrong. I paid cash and still spent all day waiting why I dont know and I said I wanted a spoiler added my sales guy said no you dont well I was sure I did. The sales part took way to long and the dealers knew nothing about the car. The car itself was fun to drive for about 3 days I could hear every Stone smack and everything else possible, I had water in both tail lights all the little flaps behind the wheels fell off. The paint was horrible it chipped every time I drove the car, when the tags were put on the lot guy ran screws into the bumper why use the bracket? Nissan service was horrible save your money&buy something else.

  • Awesome! - 2009 Nissan 370Z

I bought this car March 24th and still cant believe I own it. I had a 280Z 20 years ago and wanted to get another one for the fun factor. I wasnt prepared for the amount of fun it is driving this machine. They really out did themselves with the 2009 model and what a deal I got! Best value for machine versus money.

  • Fun to drive - 2009 Nissan 370Z

Fun to drive, awesome acceleration, eye candy. Getting in and out takes getting used to. Be aware of blind spots and limited rear view visibility. Bucket seats somewhat uncomfortable, the raised sides excessively squeeze my legs, I am only 170lb so I can only imagine how uncomfortable that might feel for someone of a bigger posture. AC seems to be slow to kick in... Navigation hard to read on sunny days.

Purchased with Nav, sport, and touring. Awesome performance and handling.Good nav with audio controls and options. Low seating and a bit cramped inside. Noisy on hwy but expected. Hugs road with those 19" tires.Beautiful curves, w/ well fitted upgraded interior.Shift easily with SynchroRev. Found myself looking for errands so I could drive more :). Cockpit very ergonomic and detailed. Bought $400 over invoice.

After thinking of getting a Corvette at first my wife and I stopped at a Nissan dealer, we just really liked this new design, looks amazing, and drives even better. Fun car to drive and it turns a lot of heads while driving, had it for 2 weeks only and we already lost track of all the Nice compliments this z car has gotten. Corvette can wait a few more years..

Came back from vacation and went directly to the dealership. I purchased the car Jan 5th 2009 and Ive been loving it ever since. I was told I was the first in Florida and one of the youngest at only 18. The driving and pick up is amazing, and the look just makes it all the greater car. I highly suggest the purchase of this car.

  • Too fat for a fun Z!!! - 2009 Nissan 370Z

Just traded my F250 for a Z. What a car. Im actually looking for excuses to drive around. Never owned a standard transmission before, but it sure is fun!!! I cant imagine driving a car that could make the experience any more fun. Only problem is my rear is too wide for the little sporty seats. Hurts like the dickens after a little while. Guess I need to do more driving and less eating!!!
