  This vehicle has responded and performed very well. When 4-wheelin the wheels grip and dont let go and we have been in some hairy areas! I suppose my only complaint is that the console should be longer to rest my elbow and I wish the resale value was higher.

  RELIABLE TRUCK - 1999 Mitsubishi Montero Sport

  This vehicle is great , never had aproblem with it and still going strong. i changed the tires at 80000 miles. Been towing a 6x8 u haul every 3 moths up from SF to LA though the grapevine with no probs, gets goos gas milage. spartan interior but fullty functional, never had a problem going though the mountains either.

  I look and look for a SUV with good power, looks good and in my price range. I looked a the pathfinder, 4runner and grand cherokee. None of them came close the Montero Sport. First the truck looks great! Next, its a "real" SUV (opposed to the car- like SUV you find these days). Also, its a great value. Ive never had a problem with it. Ive driven it 60,000 miles in three years and the only work that has been done on it is the 30k and 60k services. Finally, for a mid-size SUV it has a lot of power.

  After almost 6 yrs of owning it, I cant get rid of it I LOVE my car! This car grows on you, very faithful and it just looks prettier and prettier when it gets old! Hmm ! Unfortunate that it is NOT build anymore, I think I would buy myself a 2nd one. The others Endeavour and Outlander are just not the same never will be, its another car.

  I love to drive this truck. I never had a truck that I look foward to driving everyday. Anyone who gets this truck will be happy. The accessories are awesome and affordable.

  I previously owned a 2001 Nissan Xterra.It rode rough and was a gas hog average milage was 13.5. My Montero Sport rides alot smoother and gets 19 mpg. Also performance is much quicker than the Xterra and handles alot better also.

  Rides Comfortably - 2002 Mitsubishi Montero Sport

  I wanted an SUV to do some occasional hauling of things that wouldnt fit in the back seat of a car. But I also wanted a smooth ride like a car. I found it in this Montero Sport. I bought it used with 33000 miles and it now has 74000. The only thing that Ive had to replace were the front wheel bearings and original tires. Ive been very pleased with the reliabilty, smooth ride and 18-19 MPG with the 3.5 liter engine.

  Short Seats, Bad Trans - 2001 Mitsubishi Montero Sport

  Bought my SX for the 0,0,0 deal. It looks great but has been back to the dealer more then any other car I have owned. 6 times for the trans no going in drive alone (and still they wont replace the trans). Seats dont sit high enough or low enough for my comfort. Looking forward to getting rid of this car.
