Great Car to own - 1997 Mitsubishi Montero Sport
By Kim - October 10 - 4:46 pmI bought this car relatively new (36K), and have never, ever had an issue with it. Lacks the power I need in the mountains, but otherwise on the highway and in town, is perfect. People have told me never to buy a car the first year its developed, but this may be the best car I will ever own. Reliable, beautiful, spacious, I will drive it until it no longer drives.

What a truck! - 1999 Mitsubishi Montero Sport
By trexyo - September 14 - 10:00 amI have owned since new. Could never ask for a more dependable truck. Not one problem in 4 years. I have heard the Sports last well beyond 125,000 miles +. Comfortable, good gas mileage, pulls my bass boat with ease. I have no idea what these other people that have posts on this site are driving. Would recommend this truck to anyone I know and love!

Good Vehicle- read on - 2001 Mitsubishi Montero Sport
By rjb - August 8 - 2:00 amI was sceptical, reading bad reviews about these cars, but I must admit, after a year in the limited, I am very happy with the vehicle. I get great gas mileage for an SUV of its size (22 MPG) and it handles fairly well. Overall, I would defitely buy it again, and I have had a Isuzu Rodeo, a pathfinder and an Xterra before this one. By far the best of them all so far, the pathfinder is a close second, but the ride is best with the Montero Spt. The features of the Pathfinder are better though.

I Love My Car - 2004 Mitsubishi Montero Sport
By DLGR - July 25 - 10:00 amI bought my car primarily for the excellent fuel mileage, sporty design, and price. I have not been disappointed and would buy another MOntero Sport.

253.000 Miles - 2000 Mitsubishi Montero Sport
By Jennifer - July 16 - 6:23 amI bought my baby back in May of 2000, she had 13 thousand miles on her. Today 01/22/2010 she has 243,000 miles on her. The only maintenance Ive ever done on her was regular schedule oil changes. The most expensive repair shes had done, I had to replace the alternator in May of 2009. I live in Ga. Ive driven her as far West as Texas, Orlando Florida, and numerous times to Philadelphia Pa. All 3 of my adult children at one point had to drive her when they needed transportation. I am pleased with her. Should she quit tomorrow. I can honestly say I got my monies worth and then some. I wonder if Mitsubishi will make me their spokes person. :)

Great Vehicle for Small Families - 2001 Mitsubishi Montero Sport
By mlbrink - July 5 - 10:00 amI bought this car new over two years ago. My wife is the principle driver and she loves it. Her only complaint is that it isnt big enough for our family of 5. The kids need more separation. (I told here she should have got a mini van, but she loves the way this looks.)

2003 LS 4WD - 2003 Mitsubishi Montero Sport
By shiftharder - June 29 - 2:00 amSo far so good - only 500 miles on it but really love it. Great price for a mid-size compared to Toyota / Nissan.

Good and reliable - 2001 Mitsubishi Montero Sport
By PBride - June 24 - 11:40 pmI bought the Mitsubishi Montero Sport LS 4WD about six months ago. I am the kind of person who gets buyers remorse after buying a snickers bar, but this truck is great. It is fun to drive, and is pretty comfortable. It gets average gas milage, but if you are concerned about that then buy a Honda Civic. I live in Boston, and this thing drives awesome in the snow. I have the white with the dark tinted windows and it gets looks all the time. Ive had a little problem keeping the steering alligned, and that could be due to nasty city pot holes. The tires seem to wear more quickly than Id like, and almost every person I talk to who owns one says the latch on their arm rest is busted. I also think that it needs more power.

Quality - 2004 Mitsubishi Montero Sport
By alaina risner - June 18 - 10:00 amThis is a good, reliable, and well built SUV. For the price is cant be matched. For a city SUV or for light labor it is a great choice. Fuel economy is the same as all SUVs, they use more fuel. The interior is nice, but could be a little more modern and stylish. Overall I give this a great buy status due to the price and quality of the build which will be years of dependability.
