This Year's Model Updates:

The new model year brings freshened exterior styling to the C-Class. A new dash, redesigned seats and tweaked trim pieces help to polish the interior up a bit, as well. A new audio system with six speakers and a CD player is standard across the board. Further updates include an improved short-throw six-speed manual transmission and revised suspension tuning. A DVD-based navigation system is newly available, while the C320 wagon has been discontinued. The complimentary scheduled maintenance program has been dropped for 2005.

Pros:
  • State-of-the-art safety and luxury features, three body styles to choose from, pleasing power from top V6 engine.
Cons:
  • More expensive than competitors, ordinary cabin furnishings, small backseat.

The C230 Sports Sedan that I own is an amazing vehicle for its price. In its class, nothing compares overall. Mercedes introduced a new nano-technicological paint which virtually eliminates scratching, and looks great as the car ages. Even chipped paint is a rare sight. The exterior of this car is really a nice sight. 17 inch alloy wheels, an AMG ground effects package, with chrome exaust tips, and even a supercharger. makes this car, second to none.

The car is a pleasure to drive. It has a lot of pep for a 4 cyl. The Kompreser kicks in and you can feel it take off. Everything about it is automatic makeing it easy to drive. The car handles well in the rain.

  • Loving it!!!! - 2005 Mercedes-Benz C-Class

My husband and I have owned 8 mercedes. Mostly E-Class and one 240 Diesel.I researched, drove and compared this C-230 Kompressor with the Acura TL, BMW 3, BMW 5, Lexus 330 and 300 LS and GS. The C-230 has it all. Safety, handling, quality construction MB known for and that style that one is still pleased to drive and still attracts attention 10 years later. Exhilarating driving experience. The BMW3 handles the same, the Lexus and Acura dont come close. BMW3 poor left door safety rating on side impact studies. Comparing paint finishes--just check out two or more year olds from Acura, BMW, Lexus.... no comparison to MB.

So I just turned 40 and needed a new car. With a new daughter (first child) I needed four doors and safety, as well as a little fun for Daddy. My first thought and test drive was an Acura TL. Mighty fine car, but just a little more biased towards performance handling and the incumbent stiff ride than I or the western PA roads would tolerate. My wife wanted a MB, but my price range and minimum performance requirements didnt seem to meet on paper. Well, you can only learn so much about a car on paper. A trip to the dealer on December 31st definitely helped. With just a little space left here, let me say that buyers remorse will not be a problem here! Quiet, with a bank vault feel.

  • Great Car - Bad Tires - 2005 Mercedes-Benz C-Class

I love the car. However, in spite of the fact that I drive it less than 12,000 miles a year, and always on well-kept expressways, I have had to replace 4 of my Continental tires in the past 15 months for bulges in the sidewalls "caused by pot holes" according to my MB service rep!

  • Cutest Car For Young Girl - 2005 Mercedes-Benz C-Class

This car is awesome. Prior to this MB I had a Passat V6 . Not only is this car nicer on the outside, but moves faster and smoother than the Passat. The exterior is so AMG-like! I love it. Nice features and comfortable seats. Perfect car for a young girl!

  • YOU NEED THIS! - 2005 Mercedes-Benz C-Class

there is absolutly nothing that you need besides this car. we waited until this year because the last models headlights and interior were cheap feeling/looking but any more!

  • FUN! - 2005 Mercedes-Benz C-Class

After driving SUVs for years, I recently purchased C230 coupe. Our oldest daughter had just turned 16, with the additional car for our daughter I decided to trade in the last of my SUVs for this Mercedes. I can only say that as a mother of 3, driving had been limited to vehicles that would be large enough to haul all our kids, their friends and whatever else we could squeeze in :). When I was a in my 20s I bought what I could afford, then came the kids-practically was the focus- now-I drive for FUN! I do have a problem though, our 16 year old wants me to "share"..
