Overview & Reviews
The RX-8 is an all-new car for 2004. Its arrival marks the return of Mazda's rotary engine to the U.S. market. Priced less than Nissan's 350Z, the RX-8 also offers four doors and a usable backseat.
- Low base price, agile handling yet still comfortable enough for daily use, room for four in a pinch.
- Option packages can get expensive, iffy interior ergonomics.

Best Ive ever owned - 2004 Mazda RX-8
By Emmett - September 22 - 2:00 amMy wife and I have owned 11 Mazdas and loved every one. When the 8 came I knew I had to take a look. All I can say is WOW. This car is as quick as Turbos Mazda has made in the past. Gets looks everywhere I go. I get asked about it every time I get gas. The car seems to be the highest quality Mazda has made yet. We traded 2 miatas so we could have a back seat for a child seat and it is working out great. Only complaint is seems to be "thirsty" but probably has alot to do with the driver. Zoom Zoom

Marys Mazda RX-8 - 2004 Mazda RX-8
By jkannard - September 22 - 2:00 amThis car was a surprise from my husband. We werent planning on buying a car, but I commented on it when I saw it in a parking lot. Next thing I knew, my husband had bought it for me! We have 2 small children, so I was a bit apprehensive about leaving my Mazda Tribute-but not any more! I havent driven the Tribute since I got the RX- 8. My kids love the car; their car seats fit perfectly & they have plenty of room. The car is definitely a head- turner. I cant go anywhere w/o someone asking about it. The interior is roomy & comfy, the engine provides tons of zip and the ride is quite and smooth! I cant say enough good things about my RX-8!

By Litigator - September 22 - 2:00 amDriving this car is a real adrenalin rush! It turns heads everywhere I go. Driver comfort is exceptional for a sports car (Im 62. Fuel economy is so-so but this car is an incredible machine for the price (30K). Id buy another one in a heartbeat.

RX-8 SIMPLY THE BEST - 2004 Mazda RX-8
By rafael - September 22 - 2:00 amTHE RX-8 NOT ONLY IS FAST, IS AMAZING THE FEELING WHEN YOU DRIVE ONE. HAS NOT FAT AT ALL OUTSIDE. INSIDE, IS BIG ENOUGH, REMEMBER, IT IS A SPORT CAR. THE ONLY THING I DONT LIKE IS THAT CONSUME ABOUT 13 MILES PER GALLON AND NOT 24 LIKE THE ADVERTISE.

Great car, needs more hp/gas milage - 2004 Mazda RX-8
By Titanium Grey - September 22 - 2:00 amI love this car. Mazda hit it off with its looks and feel. Its a real pleasure to drive. It could use some more horsepower, and the gas milage is sub par. Other that that fantastic.

Mazda RX-8 Bright Blue - 2004 Mazda RX-8
By kjoh282903 - September 22 - 2:00 amThe Mazda RX-8 is one of the absolute best cars. one of my favorite features is that it is a four door coupe, it is so much easier than having a 2 door where u have to move the seat up. i love the overall look and design of the car, but i feel like the interior could be a little better, mainly by adding power seats. The only other problem i have had it that if your a shorter stature person its a little hard to back up due to the high seating. i do suggest that if you are a person who must transport many things back and forth that you may want to reconsider because even though the RX-8 is roomy, its not the ideal car for say a college student.

Perfect Blend - 2004 Mazda RX-8
By Chad Wadsworth - September 8 - 10:03 amMy wife laid down the law and said our second car could be anything as long as it had room for car seats. Thinking she had crushed any chance of my buying a sports car, I just grinned and began my search for an RX-8. Fantastic performance- you will not be disappointed with the lack of lowend torque unless you want to spend your saturday nights challenging at red lights... Not my thing, but listening to the sweet whine of the rotary at 8,500 rpm, cornering on rails and feeling like you are driving a uniquely designed machine- definitely my thing. Vehicle design is subjective, but I love it and after years of driving euro sedans I even like the interior. Overall a perfect blend.
