The RX-8 is an all-new car for 2004. Its arrival marks the return of Mazda's rotary engine to the U.S. market. Priced less than Nissan's 350Z, the RX-8 also offers four doors and a usable backseat.

  Perfection - 2004 Mazda RX-8

  In my opinion, Mazda has reached perfection in engineering with the RX- 8. The options available, on top of the standard features, make the car one of the best out on the market today (in its price range). One of the things that most impressed me was how roomy the back seats are. While researching which cars to buy, I sat in the back of both the RX-8 and the Infiniti G-35. Now, no one has ever mistaken me for being tall, but I felt cramped in the back of the G-35, and my head hit the rear windshield. There was no such problem with the Mazda.

  Ive had my RX-8 for about nine moths now and the thing is a blast. I have read some of the reviews and, of those that are critcal,try to drive the car as it is designed to be driven. I first bought the third gereration twin turbo version, R1. This car was blisteringly fast, expensive,and a whole lot of fun. If you took a year learning to drive it you would only have to watch out for was 911s. The car was not practical for anything other than autocross type driving. Also, Mazda service was clearly off guard and provided poor service. The RX-8 so far has most of the benifits of that technolgy without many of the problem. The RX-8 seems to be a great sucessor to the 7 and I really love it.

  I have owned Rx7s but this one is right on the money.It handels great and has even helped me to avoid an accident.Sometimes its hard to feel safe in a sports car. Not this one! The Rx8 is the best of its kind yet.

  Love my 8. I commute 125 miles each day, live in my car. This car is pure enjoyment to drive. Comfortable, responsive, quick, nimble, what else can I say? I did not expect to be stopped by someone every week with questions, comments, admiration but I am.

  After waiting 7 months and reading numerous reports and articles about the RX8, I was not disappointed! This car will revolutionize (no pun) the sports car industry what Sony did to radios with the walkman, and Yamaha did to marine outboards with its 2 stroke salt water series.

  This is a great car, handles excellent love the 18" stock rims!! The car looks FAST standing still, too bad it isnt!! I love the back seat and like most people I need it (350Z has alot more torque for around the same money, but NO back seat) this car looks alot better than the 350Z in my opinion, but lacks the torque big time!! I also did NOT like the fact of buying an option package of 3500.00 to get the moonroof!

  Finally Satisfied - 2004 Mazda RX-8

  I owned a lot of cars in last 3 years. I have had an 2003 M3, 2002 Boxster, 2003 I35, 2002 S2000, 1987 911 Turbo, Lexus SC 430 to name a few. I must say that this is the easiest car to drive and I find myself defaulting to it out of all my cars. It just does everything well. It does not have the prestige of the others, but the low stress fun of this light weight sports car has pleased me the most. Small package, but enough space for a 63" 265 lb. sports car enthusiast.

  Out of all the cars that i have owned, this is the best car by far. It is comfortable,beautiful,reliable,and it fits me perfect for me and my four year old son.
