The RX-8 is an all-new car for 2004. Its arrival marks the return of Mazda's rotary engine to the U.S. market. Priced less than Nissan's 350Z, the RX-8 also offers four doors and a usable backseat.

The perfect car - 2004 Mazda RX-8
By jmurphRX8 - March 8 - 2:00 amThis car is amazing. I previously had an 03 tiburon and this was a huge jump for. this is two cars in one, classy and sporty. The handling is amazing and the ride is smooth. The six speed shifts quick, really fun to drive. I love this car.

Great Car - 2004 Mazda RX-8
By EDP - March 1 - 2:00 amThe combination of performance and bells and whistles make this one of the finest cars Ive ever owned. Every thing about the car is first rate except the fuel economy (and the fact that it uses premium fuel). At this point, still under 1,000 miles and winter weather where the temps are rarely above freezing, the car is averaging about 15mpg. I have not taken it out for anything except short runs so it should do much better as time goes on.

Perfection - 2004 Mazda RX-8
By Matt C - February 19 - 10:00 amIn my opinion, Mazda has reached perfection in engineering with the RX- 8. The options available, on top of the standard features, make the car one of the best out on the market today (in its price range). One of the things that most impressed me was how roomy the back seats are. While researching which cars to buy, I sat in the back of both the RX-8 and the Infiniti G-35. Now, no one has ever mistaken me for being tall, but I felt cramped in the back of the G-35, and my head hit the rear windshield. There was no such problem with the Mazda.

By vince michael - January 8 - 10:00 amI have owned Rx7s but this one is right on the money.It handels great and has even helped me to avoid an accident.Sometimes its hard to feel safe in a sports car. Not this one! The Rx8 is the best of its kind yet.

This car will revolutionize (no pun) the sports car industry what Sony did to radios with the walkman, and Yamaha did to marine outboards with its 2 stroke salt water series.

Finally Satisfied - 2004 Mazda RX-8
By Car Addict - December 13 - 10:00 amI owned a lot of cars in last 3 years. I have had an 2003 M3, 2002 Boxster, 2003 I35, 2002 S2000, 1987 911 Turbo, Lexus SC 430 to name a few. I must say that this is the easiest car to drive and I find myself defaulting to it out of all my cars. It just does everything well. It does not have the prestige of the others, but the low stress fun of this light weight sports car has pleased me the most. Small package, but enough space for a 63" 265 lb. sports car enthusiast.
