Proto 5 Review - 2003 Mazda Protege5
By winlet - October 15 - 2:00 amI love my new Proto 5. All options, sweet leather seats and steering wheel, fun to drive, love to corner it. Drives much better than my new Jetta that I sold. (Had all kinds of problems with that car) This car looks sweet and puts all the zoom, zoom, zoom it claims in its performance. No problem with acceleration here.

Number #1!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! - 2002 Mazda Protege5
By Leanne Roth - October 15 - 2:00 amI am the type of person who sometimes experiences "buyers remorse". One thing I do know is that probably one of the smartest things I have ever done is buy this vehicle! I can honestly say I never have experienced "buyers remorse" with the purchase of this exciting & fun to drive vehicle. If there was only one thing to complain about, it would be the somewhat noisey drive, but thats what the stereo is for!!:)

Fun Reliable Car - 2003 Mazda Protege5
By Mtoth - October 14 - 2:06 amI have owned this carr since Aug 2003. I bought this car just before I drove to my first duty station while I was in the Army. This car has made several trips across the US. I have not had to do anything beyond routine maintenance yet to this vehicle. I love this car and plan on keeping it for an extended period of time. I average around 27-29 mpg. I have the 5 speed and notice that it is not as easy to shift in the morning when it is cold. Thats to be expected when you have moving gears. I just did my 60,000 mile check up and needed a new timing belt & battery but my car had been mostly in hot weather. I love this car and will own it until it cant be driven anymore.

Joys Ride - 2003 Mazda Protege5
By bballa - September 28 - 10:00 amA fun sporty little car( 5 speed manual trans.) that is also economical. There is enough room up front for me (62" 210), head and leg room are no problem. The back seats two adults comfortably. Very good value /quality for the money.

Great car for the $ - 2003 Mazda Protege5
By mazdaman - September 14 - 10:26 pmLove this car!! It is one of the most fun cars I have ever driven. Unbelieveable room in the driver seat. I am 64 and have more room then I did in my Blazer. Wish I had the compass and temp. Love the handling but the braking could be better.

A Nice Little Package - 2003 Mazda Protege5
By DTKWOK - September 10 - 10:00 amAfter looking at the likes of the Nissan Altima 2.5S, Jetta, Honda Civic, Ford Focus and Toyota Corolla, the MP5 is a lot of car for the money. Great looks, awesome handling (for a front driver), good passenger room, decent gas mileage and good amenities make it a serious contender in the sub $20K market.
