Pro5 - 2002 Mazda Protege5
By stallion - July 12 - 10:00 amI was skeptical at first of the Pro5, since I was in a Z3 prior to, but I was pleassantly surprised how much fun it is to drive! It handles like a sporty car (not quite a sports car) but is still very practical for hauling and storing for long trips. It is extremely economically priced including several options. I received all options I wanted and still kept it around $21,000. I highly recommend the PROTEGE5.

Mazda Protege5 - 2002 Mazda Protege5
By mkn - July 10 - 11:26 amThis is a great little car. So fun to drive and extremely reliable. I drove a Honda Civic for several years before I bought this car and what a difference with the Mazda. ItÂ’s so much more comfortable and driver-friendly.

My Mazda Protege-5 - 2002 Mazda Protege5
By JRenee - July 3 - 10:00 amThe car drives great. The tires are a bit soft and therefore wear out more quickly. Tires are not good in the snow. Ive had isses with keeping the tires balanced. Car easily skids to the side if making a sharp turn. The drivers seat isnt as comfortable as Id like for my low back support. The steering wheel can be uncomfortable. The wind whistles through the roofrack and can be annoying. Other than that its a great car! :)

Fun, practical, but also sluggish - 2003 Mazda Protege5
By Jason Dee - June 7 - 10:00 amCar is fun to drive, but desperately needs a turbo. Acceleration is slow, and I found the fuel milage to be lower than expected...but handles better than anticipated. The 4-spd auto trans w/manual mode is slow to shift, but still fun to drive. Its a fun commuter car, and a great car for the price. The dealer offered several great incentives.

Pretty Cool - 2002 Mazda Protege5
By Aerdna of Brandon - May 24 - 10:00 amI am 18 and I have only had the car for three months. I previously had a 2000 Honda Civic which was fine until I got rear-ended twice. The Protege 5 I have now is a manual transmission and wicked fun to drive. It comes with a strut bar so to me, it sort of feels like a racecar. I feel sporty in it and with some investments into the engine, I think I can actually be sporty. I would recommend this car to just about anyone that loves driving. It goes a long way on just a little gas too.

A great car for the young family. - 2003 Mazda Protege5
By dejan - April 25 - 10:00 amWeve had this car for a month now but its definitely the best for our current needs. It looks and handles like a BMW or a Mercedes. The power is there when you need it although there are moments when I could use some more. A great car!
