More Like Vroom-Vroom - 2002 Mazda Protege5
By Matthew Aguayo - October 6 - 10:00 amI leased this vehicle because with a $19,029 sticker, 1/3 down at 9.5% still came out to $500 a month payment. My credit is very good, and these numbers are the finance departments numbers. I was not crazy about the idea of leasing, but my wife wanted the car. We still purchased the car there because the price was the lowest of any of the Mazda dealers in our area.

The perfect fun-to-drive carry-all - 2003 Mazda Protege5
By Omar Gutierrez - September 7 - 10:00 amAbsolutely nothing wrong with this car. Its a blast to drive, reliability is excelente (as with most Japanese cars) and its more practical than anything out there.

200,000 miles and counting... - 2003 Mazda Protege5
By christieg - September 4 - 9:25 pmI purchased my 2003 Mazda Protege5 in 10/2002 and have been glad every day since! I have had the clutch replaced in the past 2 years along with the compressor and the catalytic converter and the drivers side widow thingy. I feel like after 7 years, this is normal. The head-light bulbs have been a bit of a nuisance, having to replace frequently, but being able to replace them myself, im just out the cost of the bulb, which isnt much. If you know the car has had regular maintenance, it will not let you down.

2003 Protege 5 - 2003 Mazda Protege5
By Monika - September 1 - 10:00 amI really like the way Mazda feels. When I saw Protege 5 I was automatically in love. This car offers fun ride and sporty feel, however, it has 4 doors and room for additional passangers. Seating is amazingly confortable. Styling is very cool inside and out. Very functional and fun! It feels as much updated and improved 323 from the past.

7000 miles oh! oh! Engine Light is on! - 2002 Mazda Protege5
By CarlosCA - August 24 - 10:00 amI bought this vehicle in August 2001 and I have loved it, until one week ago. I stopped the vehicle in a gas station and started filling with gas. When I finished, I tried to restart the engine and it was not responding. I tried several times and finally it started as nothing has happened. Today I was driving my car at 25 mph and suddenly boom! an incredible loud noise coming from the engine. The engine light in the console appears. I will take it to the dealer today, to see what happenned. I will keep you informed.

King of the sport wagon - 2002 Mazda Protege5
By Seth - August 24 - 10:00 amI recently traded my 1999 miata ls in for a loaded 5 speed protege 5. This car is awesome. I get more looked and asked more questions about this car than my miata. I worked for a mazda dealership for almost 4 years and now work with BMW, but would rather be with mazda anyday. This car has great comfort, handling and so many features available. I truly believe mazda has a better product overall than honda and toyota, but just doesnt have the nameplate. I love my car and i think anyone that has one will agree it is a best buy in anyones book.

My new Protege 5 drives like a BMW 3 Ser - 2003 Mazda Protege5
By MaryC - August 12 - 10:00 amI love this car. Some years ago I had a Mazda 323 (87) and I loved that too but found out it didnt do so well in crash tests. My new Protege 5 got 5 stars (driver) and 4 stars (passenger) in the crash test. It drives like a dream. Nothing else in this price class can match its style and performance - its really got class. A very cool sport wagon.
