SO FAR SO GOOD - 2003 Mazda Protege5
By mscott75 - December 1 - 10:00 amSo far so good, no major problems. Took it in for an alignment issue at about 1000 miles. Other than that its just been in for regular servicing.

Great Car, Great Fun - 2003 Mazda Protege5
By Equinox - November 5 - 2:00 amOriginally wanted a Mazda MP3, and learned to love the Protege5 just the same. Very sporty, extremely unique look, aggresize styling, resembles a BMW M Coupe.

2003 Protege5 - 2003 Mazda Protege5
By SaraD - October 20 - 10:00 amI love my Protege5! Mine is loaded (leather, 6 disc in-dash cd changer, sunroof, and a manual trans). The seats are comfortable - they feel like you are sitting and not slouching. Stearing wheel is small and easy to grip and the buttons on the radio and air are easy to use. You dont have to read the manual to learn how to turn the radio on! Another thing I really like about my car is that you can lock all the doors by using your key in the drivers or passengers door. And on the remote key, if you accidentaly press the unlock button and you dont open a door, it will relock automatically in about a minute. I really recommend this car!

Smallish but the very best in its class - 2003 Mazda Protege5
By Joe DeJohn - October 13 - 10:00 amI researched for a long time, we miss the availabity of the great Japanese wagons (Accord, Maxima, etc.). This car is peppy, handles great, looks very good although we have gotten some "clown car" comments and is very economical to drive. Its fairly practical as well, do not expect full size wagon accoutremnents but with no kids in the car and the seats down we have carried some fairly large loads. Interior is slightly small otherwise this has been a great car for us, two adults with two small children.

The perfect fun-to-drive carry-all - 2003 Mazda Protege5
By Omar Gutierrez - September 7 - 10:00 amAbsolutely nothing wrong with this car. Its a blast to drive, reliability is excelente (as with most Japanese cars) and its more practical than anything out there.

200,000 miles and counting... - 2003 Mazda Protege5
By christieg - September 4 - 9:25 pmI purchased my 2003 Mazda Protege5 in 10/2002 and have been glad every day since! I have had the clutch replaced in the past 2 years along with the compressor and the catalytic converter and the drivers side widow thingy. I feel like after 7 years, this is normal. The head-light bulbs have been a bit of a nuisance, having to replace frequently, but being able to replace them myself, im just out the cost of the bulb, which isnt much. If you know the car has had regular maintenance, it will not let you down.

2003 Protege 5 - 2003 Mazda Protege5
By Monika - September 1 - 10:00 amI really like the way Mazda feels. When I saw Protege 5 I was automatically in love. This car offers fun ride and sporty feel, however, it has 4 doors and room for additional passangers. Seating is amazingly confortable. Styling is very cool inside and out. Very functional and fun! It feels as much updated and improved 323 from the past.

My new Protege 5 drives like a BMW 3 Ser - 2003 Mazda Protege5
By MaryC - August 12 - 10:00 amI love this car. Some years ago I had a Mazda 323 (87) and I loved that too but found out it didnt do so well in crash tests. My new Protege 5 got 5 stars (driver) and 4 stars (passenger) in the crash test. It drives like a dream. Nothing else in this price class can match its style and performance - its really got class. A very cool sport wagon.
