This Year's Model Updates:

For 2010, the Mazda CX-9 undergoes a mild exterior and interior styling refresh to reflect the company's latest design identity. Other changes include a revised multi-information display with a rearview camera, real-time traffic functionality for the navigation system, improved interior materials and updated rear ventilation controls with a readout.

Pros:
  • Sporty performance, stylish cabin, easy access to spacious third row, solid build quality, high crash-test scores.
Cons:
  • Long rear doors can be hard to open in tight parking spaces, stiff ride with 20-inch wheels, a few cheap interior bits, stingy interior storage.

  • The Best Choice - 2010 Mazda CX-9
    By -

My wife and myself have test drove every sub $35,000 SUV/ Crossover, and Van on the market for the last 6 months. I must confess the CX-9 was the best riding, best fit and finish I found for the money.

  • Great car but the sound? - 2010 Mazda CX-9

Just purchased a 2010 CX-9 AWD GT, and the car looks great and drives well. I am not too much of a fan of the drivers seating position, but I am comfortable in it and it sure drives not like a SUV. However I am disappointed of the sound system (BOSE) that do not "sound" very well at all. I dont know if there is a problem with it, but the sound from the front side speakers is muffled and sounds distorted. I may to bring this car back to check on them (anyone have the same problem?). also, I thought that there was 6CD capability with the Bose system, but it looks you can just load on CD at the time (is this right?). we will have to drive a little more for more driving experience review

  • Bought a 2010 Mazda CX-9 Sport - 2010 Mazda CX-9

We have had our new Mazda CX-9 a week and love it (especially the kids)! We got the Sport model with the power driver seat / dual seat heaters. the Bluetooth feature is great and sound good. Looked at all the 3 row crossovers and liked this one the best.

  • CX-9 is a very good SUV. - 2010 Mazda CX-9

I own a cx-9 and every time i go to my garage, i say "wow, i made a good choice." The cx-9 is affordable but looks luxurious and costly. Compare it with suvs like the Acura mdx and the Toyota highlander and i would say Mazda came up with a competitive car.

  • Mazda CX 9: Over-achiever of the year! - 2010 Mazda CX-9

We bought this car to replace an 01 Explorer that was going to cost more than it was worth to repair. We tried the Chevy Traverse, Ford Edge, and Explorer XLT...after 5 minutes in the CX 9 it was a done deal! We got the Touring model with AWD, and it blows away anyone elses SUV/CUV! A like vehicle from Acura or Lexus would be $15k more! Fit and finish is exceptional. I am tall - 62"- as is my wife at 58" so we figure the kids will be big, so I sat in the 2nd and 3rd rows...plenty of room in the 2nd row, and even in the 3rd though head room was shorter...but I could see my self in any seat in the vehicle for a 2-3 hour trip with no problem! The engine is powerful and smooth. Tight handling!

  • Mazda CX9 Grand Touring - 2010 Mazda CX-9

Took delivery of our new CX9 Grand Touring yesterday and have no regrets whatsoever. The CX9 was "hands down" the best vehicle in the class. We looked at Acura, Toyota, Hyundai, Nissan and VW and none of them compare to the CX9 in terms of features, styling, comfort and performance. Out purchasing experience was good. Pricing was a little high, but we opted for the top of line Grand Touring. You will not get the deal of the century on this vehicle due to demand and popularity, but you should walk out with a fair deal. Our dealer offer a couple of lease options if the monthly payment estimate scares you. We do wish Mazda offered a longer basic warranty.

  • Great car but with some odd issues - 2010 Mazda CX-9
    By -

All in all we enjoy the car. Great acceleration and handling, plenty of passenger room, beautiful styling. I would recommend to friends and family. For a vehicle this size its astounding we havent had to change the brakes yet, and were at 60,000 miles. Two odd issues: The mounting pads for the engine already are worn, which creates a nasty clinking sound when the car is put into gear; and the circuits go bad, meaning Ill turn off the car and the fan will suddenly go full blast - I have to turn the car on and off a couple of times to make that stop. But these are relatively minor fixes (Ive been too lazy) because overall the car has been wonderful for us.

  • Another keeper - 2010 Mazda CX-9

Our second Mazda product and no disappointments. We shopped for weeks and considered all similar vehicles from $25,000 to $40,000+. Nothing compared for dollar value. This CX-9 set the standard for everything else. We could not find any reason to buy Lexus, Acura etc. Nothing is perfect but we have yet to find any faults which is a great experience, especially considering the selling price compared to others. Yes it would be nice to have better mileage but ride, comfort and build quality are first class.

  • Great Car - 2010 Mazda CX-9

Just purchased a week ago and have to say what a great car this really is. Test drove the Pilot, Pathfinder. Highlander but this was the best value and drive for the money, by far. Had a VW Touareg a couple of years ago and feel as safe driving the Mazda as I did my Touareg.

  • TOTALLY AWESOME SUV - 2010 Mazda CX-9
    By -

Traded in a minivan last Halloween, and i really made the right decision. I own a CR-V and a Toyota and i can really tell the difference in driving, comfort and the responsiveness of the vehicle. I got the BOSE-Moonroof Pack and the sound is amazing. Drivers cockpit is classy. Transmission is smooth, manumatic shift is a plus. Bluetooth and voice command recognition is nice and standard. The interior fit and finish is at its finest, such a handsome look outside but still looks good even when carrying the whole family. This is trully a ZOOM-ZOOM vehicle from Mazda,so fun to drive. Cant wait to drive to Florida w/ the family on Thanksgiving!
