Overview & Reviews
The LS' already handsome appearance can be further enhanced with the LSE appearance package that includes 17-inch two-tone Blade Grey wheels, a unique front fascia, round foglights, modified Blade Grey grille with color-keyed upper trim piece, side rocker panels and rear valance, low profile spoiler, dual stainless-steel exhaust tips and LSE floor mats. Lincoln makes an in-dash CD changer standard for 2002 (with Alpine Audiophile components on Sport models) and restyles the 16-inch alloy wheels on non-Sport V6 and V8 versions. A Vehicle Communication System, which provides a voice-activated Motorola Timeport mobile phone, is optional and includes safety and security services, route guidance and access to weather reports, stock quotes and sports scores. Three new colors replace three old ones.
- Confident steering and handling, choice of either a V6 or V8 engine, comfortable and roomy interior, clean exterior design.

2002 LSE Review - 2002 Lincoln LS
By Troy Hamblin - September 25 - 3:53 amThis car has great acceleration with incredibly smooth automatic shifting. The traction control system is great in the winter in the midwest. I was skeptical about it when I bought the car, but it has proved itself in the winters. It is almost impossible to spin this car around in the snow under normal driving circumstances. It has never happened to me. The car is also very quiet on the inside.

Superb - 2002 Lincoln LS
By Octavio - June 24 - 7:30 pmI tested the $55,000 BMW and decided to save $15K, is not worth to spend that kind of cash for a very similar vehicle.

Very satisfied with the Car - 2002 Lincoln LS
By MF - June 2 - 3:43 pmWe use this car for trips and Church mostly, no problems since weve had it. The pick and power are a joy from start to finish of the trip. One knock is the cheep center console Linciln used which cries every time you lean on it with your elbow. Other than that no complaints at all.

No Real Problems - 2002 Lincoln LS
By Ducsman - May 26 - 10:00 amI have had the LS since new almost two years and have had no problems. It in the V6, black (yes, it is a pain to keep clean) w/17 chrome wheels. I rarely go anywhere that someone does not comment about how good the car looks. I would purchase another one. It is just fun to drive.

The Drivers Car - 2002 Lincoln LS
By jimb - March 14 - 12:50 amIf this car had a better transmission and a little more power it would be nearly perfect. The V8 offers great passing acceleration and the handling is great. In addition, on an 800 mile I-70 trip I averaged 28 mpg!

Great road car, highly reliable - 2002 Lincoln LS
By Joe Glotz - March 13 - 9:53 pmBase V6, purchased new, June 2002. Trouble free since. Its a great long- distance road car, ok as daily driver. Great handling, great suspension, great brakes. Ok engine. Transmission has to think a lot; upshifts are ok, but it positively cringes at even the hint of a downshift. Over-the-road mileage is 22-23, commuting is about 19. Supposed to use 91 Octane gas.

The Mafia Mobile - 2002 Lincoln LS
By Thad Stovall - February 21 - 2:00 amThis car is a wonderful driving experience. It turns heads everywhere I go, even when Im in a drive through to get a burger. I call it the mafia mobile, for I had the LSEs windows tinted, and it has the mysterious, yet seductive look about it. The power is satisfactory. The exterior design is one of the most beautiful cars on the road. The interior is nice, too, but the glove compartment and inside storage leave much to be desired in size. I have driven a Jaguar S Type. Even though that is a prestigious, nice automobile, I cannot see how it is 10 K better.

2002 Lincoln LSE...American Advantage - 2002 Lincoln LS
By ronniepoh - October 29 - 2:00 amEXCELLENT vehicle. Powerful, smooth V8 power. EXCELLENT Chassis. (aluminum suspension really makes the car nimble and well balanced). Overall, it performs on par, if not better, than a BMW 5 series. Reliability has been excellent. A highly under rated vehicle. I highly suggest driving one before purchasing any other sedan.

Lincoln LS Rules! - 2002 Lincoln LS
By Mr Lincoln - September 14 - 10:00 amThe Lincoln LS is a awesome machine hands down and if you dont think so it means you havent ever driven one... The handling is great, power is good from the V8, it looks great... Yes, of course there can be improvements - and we all know about the interior storage, cupholders, armrest, yes the trunk hinges get in the way - but overall a 9 out of 10...
