First Impressions - 2006 Lexus RX 400H
By rzurek - March 11 - 2:33 pmThe Lexus 400h hybrid is a very luxuriously appointed SUV with peppy acceleration and a smooth comfortable ride. This is the first year of hybrid technology although it is not unproven being used in the Toyota Prisus for the past couple years and in Japan. My only disappointment is that the mileage rating is not sufficient enough to get you into the California car pool lanes.

Superb overall car - 2006 Lexus RX 400H
By JJS - February 20 - 7:26 amPluses: Great acceleration (noticeably quicker than my old RX 300). Superb FM sound (with the optional Marc Levinson system). Powered rear lift gate is very handy. Minuses: So-so fuel economy; again its better than my old Lexus, but this in NOT the car you want if youre looking for exceptional mileage. Im getting about 24 MPG, but I drive with a lead foot. Overall, a superb car. (Based on 3 months and about 3000 miles).

Great Everything Vehicle - 2006 Lexus RX 400H
By jonkron - January 20 - 8:04 amThis is my wifes car. We bought it used with 35K and have since put 40K on it. I call it the cream puff because it is a Japanese Cadillac. Luxury, ride, and fit & finish are top notch and reliability is excellent. I will be the first to admit the design was not my favorite initally- but Ive grown to love it because it does everything very well. AWD has been successfully Tahoe tested many times. It is an extremely easy & comfortable vehicle to drive. She is looking at the new model for no other reason then the new factor. Would buy this year & model again in a heartbeat.

The Queens Lexus - 2006 Lexus RX 400H
By NYAD QUEEN - January 18 - 8:26 pmI had been driving a BMW 740iL for several years but wanted a smaller, more economical vehicle to commute and travel in. Once I test drove the LEXUS RH400h my worries were over. This vehicle is incredible. LEXUS has thought of everything. The ride is most comfortable, the handling is great, the gas mileage puts a smile on my face, and the beauty of the car is something to behold.

Loving this Car! - 2006 Lexus RX 400H
By Nancy Boyken - December 18 - 11:13 amIve driven the RX300 for 5 years, and knew when my lease was up that I wanted to upgrade to the hybrid version. It is everything that was advertised, and more. The ride is zippy and fun, the interior luxurious, and the amenities abound.

Hang on for some excitement! - 2006 Lexus RX 400H
By Don Panetti - November 15 - 11:46 amI have had the vehicle now for 3 years and the Goodyear Tires were the real downfall of the vehicle They were like skin at 20,000 miles. I really like the acceleration at any speed and the gas mileage is about 28 to 29 highway and anywhere from 26 to 31 in the city, depending on whether I drive on flat or hilly areas. The ride is not the best as the seats are too firm. Handling is great.

Fuel Economy? - 2006 Lexus RX 400H
By Lloyd - November 14 - 5:03 amI really enjoy the car, the SUV and the gadgets are fun. BUT, I have never got more than 24.5 mpg.. I thought that I would average at least 27 to 29 mpg, never happened.. I put at least 18,000 miles a year on a car,, not worth it if you are thinking about saving $$$ on fuel... Also the fuel tank could be larger...But I do love being green and doing my part to help save the world from polutants.. The drive, the comfort and the sitting up higher are thing I enjoy. If there was a place for a cell phone that woulsd also be nice.

Nice Car, But Where is the Fuel Economy? - 2006 Lexus RX 400H
By Andy - November 2 - 8:46 amConcerned about Americas dependence on foreign oil, I searched long and hard for a hybrid. I cannot fit in a Prius (really, I cant), and the best vehicle I found was the Lexus RX 400h. All around, it is the best vehicle I found. It is comfortable, with all the features I need (and the ones I dont need, I like). It is a delight to drive. However, the fuel economy leaves something to be desired. A big reason is because I drive a lot of short segments, and I reach my goal about the time the vehicle warms up. Still, I wish Lexus had redirected a few of the horsepower into fuel economy, or at least given us the choice.
