Seats do not compare to our Porsche or SAAB. Tilt function is simply inflation of seats leading edge. Arm rest way too short to be useful. Major fatigue on long trips, never really get adjusted. Lines of sight to check for vehicles in prep for lane change are awful. Again, comparison is to SAAB and Porsche. Throttle response delay is shameful and dangerous. Toyota excuses it as computer seeking correct response -- lame. No road feel. Wind noise and engine noise unacceptable for Lexus -- had an LS 430 that was whisper quiet. It was great in all respects -- this 330 is not great in any respect -- below average in many. Sorry we bought it within a month of purchase date.

We test drove a number of vehicles including the Acura MDX and Volvo X70 and nothing compared to the RX330. From sleek exterior styling, updated dashboard, ride comfort, etc. - this vehicle certainly lives up to the standards set by Lexus.

This vehicle is very refined and plush. The driving is unbelievable and the amenities are incredible. Before you purchase any suv you have to at least drive the RX!

It looks and rides like a dream. The fit and finish is flawless. No other vehicle has the build quality and reliability this vehicle has.

The car is quiet, fast, and comfortable for an SUV. I have yet to find anything to complain about in the RX 330s bodywork, interior or engine. I do, however, have a complaint about the transmission. At very low speeds (common when commuting in the Washington DC area), the transmission seems to slip into a sort of nuetral. It does this with a pronounced clunk, and re-engages with another clunk. Three trips back to the dealer have not produced their acceptance that this is a problem. Hopefully they will acknowledge that this is not characteristic of a luxury SUV, nor is it symblomatic of Lexus reputation for quality and customer service.

Great SUV, smooth ride and easy manueverability like a car. Dash functions are easy to use. My wife loves it too. Comfortable for even two adults in the rear with an infant car seat in the center. Would definitely recommend it for someone looking to upgrade from a car.

  • Transmission is Dangerous - 2004 Lexus RX 330

Do yourself a favor and read all of the boards on the web that discuss the awful and dangerous transmission. There are severe hesitations and failure to engage when accelerating. There are also reports at www.dot.gov of this problem. Just do a search on the vehicle.

  • Will never own anything else - 2004 Lexus RX 330

I have had my car for 3 months now with about 5,000 miles on it and have had no trouble with it at all. It is an extremely comfortable car both around town and on the highway. The folding rear seats make it very useful for trips to the hardware store. The Navigation system very useful, I have used it more than I ever imagined I would.

  • Great Car/Great deal - 2004 Lexus RX 330

I traded my 99 RX300 for a year end terrific deal on a RX330 AWD fully loaded. I cant say how happy I am with this car! Compared to the 99 the interior is a little smaller and there is less wood trim that looks so good. But ALL other features are better/nicer/tighter/sharper. I went from LA to Pismo beach this weekend on all the backroads I could find and this car handled so well and was very responsive. The 330 is the perfect combination of luxury and performance in a mid-size crossover SUV. I test drove the BMW X5 and X3 and neither of them compare to this car!
