Overview & Reviews
In a move almost certainly meant to distance the LX 470 from the all-new GX 470, Lexus has made a number of enhancements for 2003. On the outside, the LX has received subtle changes to the headlights, taillights and front grille and bumper. Eighteen-inch wheels are now standard. Inside, there's a redesigned center stack, standard side and side-curtain airbags, additional audio controls for rear passengers, steering wheel-mounted audio controls and a new optional entertainment system (dealer-installed). Mechanically, Lexus has bumped horsepower output by five, added a new five-speed automatic transmission and improved the steering rack. There are also rain-sensing wipers and two new features -- a "Night View" night vision system and the Lexus Link emergency communications service.
- Quiet and refined demeanor, capable backwoods performer, slick adjustable suspension, splendid interior materials, Lexus build quality.
- High price, lack of horsepower, floppy handling.

Luxury Suv - 2003 Lexus LX 470
By Nike587 - October 22 - 10:00 amThis is a great SUV. Anyone thinking about getting it, should definitely test drive it. It rides so well you think that you are in a luxury sedan. It handles really well in the snow. It is a great vehicle for all occasions. It would look great going to a bussiness dinner or to a secret cabin in the woods.

new is better - 2003 Lexus LX 470
By jcy - October 22 - 10:00 amjust got my new LX470 a week ago, and already put in 350 miles( cant resist to spin it around the town). This car is built with the highest quality and so comfortable, smooth and luxury that you dont feel like driving a SUV. I had owned and driven Acura MDX(2001&2002 models)recently, and there is no comparison!!! You get what you pay for.

Super SUV - 2003 Lexus LX 470
By mrcofer - March 4 - 10:00 amOne of my favorite features is the GPS system. The touch-screen technology makes it user-friendly. Also, the funky hybrid transmission gives one lots of options for off-road and on- road experience. I drive all over the state of Georgia, often in places Ive never been and not sure exactly where they are. Each morning I just cant wait to get in my vehicle and take off. The only improvement possible would be to make it less expensive with better gas mileage (17 mpg, which is not bad for an SUV of any kind and better than most).
