A very satisfied customer - 2000 Lexus LS 400
By Robert Donald - August 8 - 10:00 amThis is my 4th Lexus LS400 over the last 9 years and the best ever. I have now purchased my wifes first, GS300 and she loves it. By the way, over all these years the only thing which was a problem was the cigarett lighted didn,t work but while having it serviced, the service folks replaced it and said thanks for bring it to our attention. By the way, it was a non because neither of us smoke anyway.

Tuxedo Look, Limo Ride, Bulletproof Engine! - 1997 Lexus LS 400
By telluride1 - July 19 - 5:25 pmI bought a 1997 Black Onyx with Black Leather, the Coach Edition with 120K that was driven about 7,000 miles a year. The Coach leather feels like a brand new leather couch and the paint has a mirror shine. It drives far better than any 2014 car we recently test drove. I plan to keep it showroom quality and drive it until it reaches 300K. While the premium gas isnt fun to buy, its worth giving this limo quality Lexus the best fuel that money can buy since it will return to you a smooth ride and miles of enjoyment. My only regret is not buying one sooner. I was a Toyota fan but now Im hooked on Lexus and while Im young to be driving an LS400 its a ride everyone is missing!

My First Lexus, I Had No Idea - 1997 Lexus LS 400
By rickster81 - July 4 - 2:00 amI wasnt really looking at the LS400 when searching for another used car after a major car accident where my 97 Camry was crushed. But after one test drive, I knew the LS400 was it. Being only 29 years old, my wife still chides me that Im driving an old man car. But the fact of the matter is, the LS400 is a feature rich luxury machine that was affordable for me and at the same time offered some prestige with a long list of standard features. I hope to drive this car up to 250K miles and then ill be another Lexus... why pay for a Benz when you get all that luxury and comfort in a Lexus for half the price?

The most reliable & comfortable car in the world! - 1999 Lexus LS 400
By afriend4life - July 2 - 3:50 amIve owned a dozen cars in the past: 2 Cadillacs, Jaguar, 3 BMWs, Infiniti, Corvette - most Ive owned for 12-15 months and had to invest $1700-$3300 per year on maintenance. Ive owned 99 LS400 for 3+ years & it has been the most reliable car Ive ever owned - my ex, Lexus SC430 was just as good, & they both have the "worlds most reliable engine" award. I do a safety inspection once a year & surprised to hear that all is good, no problems with suspension, engine or transmission. Im only changing oil every 10K miles (using Amsoil), brakes last long & tires are good for 70K miles. Besides better handling that my ex-BMW 540i had - this Lexus has been such a pleasure to own & joy to ride!

Perfect Crusier for Marketing - 2000 Lexus LS 400
By Roadwarrior2000 - June 23 - 10:36 pmThis car rides and drives like a dream it was supposed to be, a 2nd car to keep the miles down on my lease vehicle a 2007 Murano Suv. I find however it is so comfortable I am driving this a lot. Power and performance, it handles very well for a large sedan. An excellent value, you can now buy one of these for less than a new Toyota Yaris. Reliabilty is the best do normal maintance and it will last 500k miles !

Expected more - 2000 Lexus LS 400
By Jim - June 10 - 2:10 amI did not expect to have to have a valve adjustment done at 70,000 miles that cost $850. Nor did I expect climate control and steering components, as well a clock to stop functioning. I had none of these problems with our Camry.

1996 Lexus LS 400 - 1996 Lexus LS 400
By legendof lexus - May 29 - 4:26 amIn late 90s til present I have had ES 300, 3 LS400, GS 300 and Avalon. In between those I had Caddys, Volvos, Audi and Acuras. Bottom line Lexus is it! I had to fix something on every car I owned except when I had a Lexus, just start and go! I dont like being in a car for more than 7-9 months, but this time Im sticking to the 96 LS 400 till I can get the LS 430!

Best car bar none - 1997 Lexus LS 400
By Phil57 - May 21 - 10:00 amThis car is a joy to drive. I have owned it for 18 months and I look forward to using it every day, whether for work or with the family. I have a stressful job in real estate, with lots of stop and go driving to visit properties. The Lexus smooth performance and luxurious interior are very relaxing and dont intrude on my workday. The entire car is well thought out, simple to operate, performs excellently and is rock solid reliable. I cannot imagine owning another car.
